Why were these guys there in the first place, if they weren't members and had nothing booked? If they're letting anyone just come in off the street, then it's not a place I'll be visiting.

Everyone is missing the simplest of points. CMJ, and every spa for that matter, builds their reputation on protecting the identity of their respective members... THESE WERE NOT MEMBERS!!

CMJ did not violate any members privacy, case closed. Now, everyone move along, nothing else to see here

How do you know they were not members? Can anyone use the bar? If so, their membership pitch is pretty misleading.

Whatever. If you guys have no issues with their methods of getting even, you have more balls than me. Guess I have more to lose.

Yeah, I'm just not comfortable with CMJ being judge, jury and executioner when it comes to my personal information.

Let's play the reverse role with this hypothetical situation:

Outcall to my place or hotel. I pay in full before the session. The sw rips me off entirely or leaves early. I feel angry so I post her face picture publicly since it was captured on my camera.

If anyone think that my hypothetical action of outing the provider is ok then you should give your head a shake. Discretion and privacy apply to both parties.

CMJ should have left the pictures up until they got an apology! and/or laid criminal charges.

CMJ backtracking on posting the picture without further follow up kinda left them in a worst case scenario, based on a knee jerk retaliation. The guys were maybe exposing membership leneancy.

CMJ is new to operating a liquor license, so this likely exposed some gaps in their security / screening process. If they are members only, they should really stick to that as other private memberships with ANY other club does.

People in the past were signed up because it was mandatory, and paid a nominal fee and filled out membership forms.

Lately it seems, this is no longer formally necessary with CMJ with multiple reviews who repeat as non-members. Being lax on membership may be the weakness exposed here, if they would like to stay a private members club (I believe a must actually if not licensed by the city as a body rub parlour).

I'm not upset with CMJ, guys were probably jerks, but consistency in applying visiting policies and membership requirements should be now reviewed.

So how is it that CMJ can legally serve booze? Are they licensed? Outing these guys may have been right in the grand scheme of things but it might well attract some unwanted interest from authorities... Not a smart move.
Yup, they're licensed just like Brass is. The guys ran up a $500 bar tab and bolted, stealing 5 shoes. One is a member of CMJ, the other wasn't. They deserve what they got.

Having said that I THINK it was a staff member that posted the pics. After the pic was removed, there was an "apology" from one of the girls. Jess at Brass also commented that her staff don't have access to the Brass account on Twitter. Put 2 and 2 together.

I would prefer that none of these places were licensed. I visit spas for sessions only - not drinking and definitely not contact with other clients and random guys.

If they drank a lot, clearly the receptionist didn't smart serve them earlier and collect. CMJ should have press charges.

Until CMJ management comes out and explains all the facts, they are in the wrong on this one. Why were these guys that nobody knew allowed to run up a tab? How were the girls in amy danger (cmj said girls were scared)? Did they leave without paying? Other than leaving without paying, did they do anything else illegal? Please remember that being losers is not illegal. So far it sounds like CMJ management over served 2 patrons and let them run up a huge bill and then the customers bolted. This happens on a nightly basis in bars across the city. So did CMJ post the pics because they lost money? I dont see how any of the girls were affected, they should not have lost amy money and they were not harmed from the sounds of it, so is it just sour grapes from the owners?

Well to be fair, $500 isn’t that much if they were into the good stuff. I was showing off A bit and got the veuve cliquot for a session. At $200 a bottle with tip, it doesn’t take too much to get a large bill. I left happy but certainly not loaded.
Lets just say I only order generic sparkling now. And yes the prices are in line with bars and restaurants downtown.

Thats like 71 mixed drinks if they were into the cheap stuff. And they managed to drink all this in 1 hour?

I am on the side that thinks this was a misstep from CMJ. They themselves also think so too, or else they wouldn't have taken down the tweet.

Imagine all the scenarios where your privacy could be at risk now: What if you said something wrong and insulted one of the girls? what if they miscounted your payment? is your face going to be put on blast then?
With alcohol flowing for both the clients and girls who knows what kind of misunderstandings can happen. `Judge, jury, and executioner` of your privacy is right.

However it was handled, it could have been handled better, procedures and practices should have been in place to handle these situations protecting both sides. If a crime is committed call the police give them the pictures.

With that said I`m sure most of us are willing to give CMJ a pass for their long history in the city. They are taking their learning lumps with their new liquor license and new downtown location. I`m sure operating from a downtown location where its easily accessible by foot brings in an entirely different clientele than their other locations where its accessible by car only.

Same here. I don't want to meet or see any clients going in or coming out. Brass Club is pretty good with discretion.

Seems like people are making a mountain out of a mole hill. Those idiots robbed the place and got what they deserved. I wish CMJ kept the pictures up on Twitter. I wouldn't want some bad clients spoiling it for the rest of us. I would be pissed if they had hurt the ladies there especially my favourites or run off with my shoes. How would you explain missing a shoe to your SO or getting frostbite from walking bare feet. Luckily they found the shoes or else it would have caused more harm to those who's shoes were stolen.

And I don't think it would help to allow members only. All members did was pay a bit more for membership. That does not guarantee any safety to other clients or the ladies. Also people can't just walk-in the building. You have to say who you have an appointment with and then the door is opened. Even in this case the membership didn't matter much as it seems one of the idiots was a member. I thought the membership was for legal reasons mostly.

I don't think I have anything to worry about with CMJ management. I respect the ladies there, make sure to pay the correct amount, don't cause trouble and don't run off with other people's shoes lol. However I hope CMJ provides more privacy to clients so I don't run into other clients going in or out.

I agree with CMJ did and don't have a problem with it. However, it might be good for them to share some general guidelines on when they will expose personal information. For example "threatening staff or other patrons; damage to property; etc..."

Right now it seems like they're saying "trust us we only do this when necessary." I do trust them so I'm not worried but I can see how some might not.

Just my $.02.
