I don't know about everyone but imho this is not cool at all. CMJ since then has taken down their post.

What about discretion and privacy? From putting pieces together in their posts, a couple of guys didn't pay for their drinks, rude to the hostesses and left without session. Also, they allegedly took some shoes?

It seemed like only one side of the story was told. Not sure if it is totally true or not, CMJ went ahead and posted their pictures. Their life are probably ruined now as their pictures were posted and most likely screenshot by people.

Anyway, be very careful....I would expect CMJ to handle the situation better than what they just did. Be very careful.

Hold on here. If they did what was claimed then they deserve any and all repercussions. They went looking for trouble, they found it and cmj is supposed to respect their privacy??? What did they think would happen? You know the saying, "Don't dish it out if you can't take it". And I'll reiterate, if all is true. The "gentlemen" are more than welcome to tell their side of the story.

The picture was if 2 mean who didn't pay and stole a client's shoe. IMO they were not clients - just 2 assholes

I know not everyone shares my opinion, but having been a member of CMJ for a while I trust Jasmin and the staff, and while I didn't see exactly what was posted I stand by their decision to post the pictures of the guys that caused a problem. I'm inclined to believe that their version is close to the truth, in which case I'm not going to fault them. I think all members know that there are cameras there, I personally don't mind them being used as a deterrent to troublemakers.

i think it was a good idea to post those pictures of the 2 idiots that thought they could get away without paying for drinks. its the same thing if it happened at a bar. im sure a bar would post it all over the news if they did that.

plus as a previous post, they stole some shoes, then dumped them off a few blocks away.

Also 1 if the idiots forgot their phone.
so a bit of karma for what they did.

This event has to be taken in context. From what I understnd, they racked up a bar bill, caused issues, then skipped on the tab. In the process, spitefully stole random single shoes.
They weren’t members. Just free loaders and trouble makers.
And seriously we all know we are on camera at any spa. Duh. CMJ was within rights to post. They are thieves.

Although I will take my shoes inside now haha

It's just bad business. Do the guys deserve it? Maybe. They certain deserve something. But cmj is telling all members and potential members, "there are circumstances where if we don't like how you behave, we will out you to the public". Nowhere did I get the idea that there was a risk to safety, they were just being assholes and cost the establishment money. Nor did cmj gain anything except satisfied spite by outing them.

It's not about what those two assholes deserve, it's about all the members who then go "am I next?"

When thieves Rob other stores/businesses their photos get blasted online. What makes this any different? They broke the law and by stealing from a business. CMJ had the right.

It's nothing out of the ordinary.

Some establishments (usually mom and pops) will post pics of shoplifters/dine and dashers.

I think this is similar.

On top of that these bastards stole shoes too!! They're petty and showed no remorse.

If I do something so blatantly foolish then I deserve to be outed. I, as a customer, am respectful so I don't need to worry about asking, "am I next". If I act like an idiot then maybe I should be asking myself that question.

WTF are you talking about...."am I next"? How about don't be an asshole, then you'll never be "next".

It's an absolutely short sighted precedent. What if they got the wrong guy or inadvertently posted the picture of someone who had nothing to do with it?

You guys are all CMJ members or from your previous posts at the very least, frequent them. So you're biased and missing the point completely. In this business, doing that is just.....wow.

So how is it that CMJ can legally serve booze? Are they licensed? Outing these guys may have been right in the grand scheme of things but it might well attract some unwanted interest from authorities... Not a smart move.

I am certainly not planning to be an asshole. Their behaviour was awful and they deserve to face some punishment for it.

I am concerned that a business that usually proclaimed how well it keeps member's privacy is showing that there are situations in which they would compromise that, without any rules or reassurances. Are there other things they will out people for? What things? We don't know, and that's what concerns me, as well as the vindictive nature of the post.

Again, the guys were assholes and should face consequences. It shouldn't be this specific consequence. Blacklist them, ban them, etc but this is worrying to me.

From one of cmj receptionist's post (now deleted) that the 2 guys were at the bar for one hour, drank and left. No mention of them not paying.

Secondly, if CMJ doesn't think that they do anything wrong then why was the post 'outing' the clients is now deleted

100% agreed.

Also if the two assholes didn't pay for drinks and stole some shoes then they have committed a crime. It is called theft and LE should be called upon.

In other post, CMJ claimed that they recovered the shoes a few blocks away? So unless these guys paid for the drinks then they havent break any law.

So being an ashole means that you are deserved to be 'out'

So according to you. If some delinquent joyride a car and left it a couple of blocks down, the car was recovered in a ditch so no laws were broken?

So someone shoplifted the store can't post pictures of them?
Someone dine and dashes from a restaurant they can't put pictures on the wall?

We see security footage or random stuff all over the net of people doing dumb stuff. You have a problem with that?

Wait, is it because it's you that was in the video/picture?

The cameras are meant to be a deterrent. Everyone knows that they are there. The business exercised their option to use images on those cameras to protect themselves and their clients both now and in the future if someone decides to be an asshole. Tough luck that their pics were posted.

Why are you digging so hard for a different story? The facts are pretty clear.

It’s painfully obvious you are a troll. You have 8 posts and they are all negative about cmj in a regard or another

First post — why would anyone pay 40 fee to go to cmj.
A few weeks later you make a post in the gfe thread — your only and it a - to a cmj attendant? Lol, you are a total fraud.

there is room for a good discussion on this pro or con. But please get the people with clear agendas out of the discussion or at least let’s point them out.
