So many celebrities, so many assholes. Luckly there are those, among the great unwashed, willing to cut them down a notch.

Here's one of the best:

Farm subsidies will cost American tax payers close to a trillion dollars within the next decade, Jon Bon Jovi supports them. Last year he paid $100 in property taxes on his bee farm.

No one's paying them to be eggheads.

That they make millions is more of a sad reflection of society.

Megan Fox, well, I don't see her getting very many good roles. I wonder if she'll go down the Lindsay Lohan path.

Bon Jovi, at least he's giving to charity. The prank on Tom Cruise was just dumb, despite what you may think of him.

I expect all celebrities to be assholes, especially the movie stars. Having people gush on every word spoken will change you.
It's a nice surprise when the odd one is normal and cool.

I'm not a fan of his, but in THIS case, he handled himself quite well. (Probably a lot better than I would have anyway...)
Yeah I agree. Sometimes the fans or celebrity trolls are assholes too. Cruise ha ha ha or his bodyguard should have dropped the lowlife in this case.

I think this guy is the buffoon. Not that I care about MF, but this guy getting so worked up about her removing a tattoo makes you wonder if he has a life.

Having dealt with a lot of celebrities over the years I can safely say most of them are nice normal people. But with many (especially from hollywood) there are so many people seeking to either fawn over them or take advantage of them in some fashion they have to become a bit jaded. Once you've dealt with them a bit and they realize your not out for something their guard will come down. Just as normal as the rest of us.
Filming for tv and movies, the press junkets. Yes they choose it and are well paid. But it is tough, don't doubt that. Very very draining.

To an extent you are correct shack. However MF's comment touched a raw nerve in a large group of people, especially among those who deal with mental illness on a daily basis.

But TJ didn't stop there. Although, in retrospect, this incident got blown out of proportion.

As for Tom Cruise, I cant stand him, but yes he handled it rather well. But it is a matter of perception. Even though I love Russell Crowe as an actor, he's entered into the realm of sphincterdom numerous times. No one would dare take a squirt gun to him.

Correction

The Shia item was not about his drunken fight in Vancouver, it concerned his relationship with Tom Hardy. On the set of Lawless, Shia played the runt among two older brothers and was picked on relentlessly by Tom Hardy and Jason Clarke. He probably felt that he had to make a stand to preserve his dignity.

IMHO, it is not that they are any worse than any other tribe that has basic human genetic material, it is simply something that I like to call "The Monkey Principle";

Poor Tom Cruise, he was so disappointed it wasn't cum.

I'm tempted to dislike Cruise as well. But while the media has made him out to be a whack-job if you watch any live interactions with him, such as lengthy live interviews, he's hard not to respect.

I don't care if he is gay or what his religion is I've always liked his movies and that is all that matters.

Oh and mad props to the way he handled the situation in the above vid.

Understood Oracle, Gladiator would have been a much better film if Tom Cruise played Maximus.

Are you a Justin Beiber fan?

Interesting comparison IV.

No I couldn't see Cruise playing The Spaniard but then I couldn't see Crowe playing Jerry Maguire either.

Oh and as for Beiber well I'm ambivalent.

Tom Cruise doesn't take risks with his roles, to say you like his films is like saying you like Big Mac's. And any decent actor could have played Jerry Maguire.

Christian Bale took a huge risk when he played Patrick Bateman (American Psycho). Michael Douglas took a huge risk playing Liberace - then he screwed up his respect factor by opening his big yap about his throat cancer.
