You seem to be dismissing the potential harm the vaccine can cause in young, healthy persons. There was also the propaganda that the vaccine stopped the spread of the virus. Some of us were scratching our head knowing that vaccines like this only reduce the virus' impact on individuals not eradicate it. We also knew the virus would mutate like the flu.
So yes, I think you are going all-in on revisiting this idea that everyone should be vaccinated.
As far as your reference to other countries, I think it's been proven that no one has more freedom to express themselves than Americans and Canadians. I think this is a good thing. Because of different legal rights and protections, Europeans don't always feel free to express themselves. So no, I wouldn't be suggesting that the Europeans got it together because they appear to agree with your world views.

Yes, potential harm in 0.001% to 0.01% of the recipients on the higher end.
I like those odds and I think I can reasonably conclude that the vaccine is very safe.
The vaccine causes herd immunity which would eventually stop the virus. Think Smallpox.
We didn't destroy the smallpox virus, we just stopped its incidence, which is what that sentence means.
So yes, it would be prudent for everyone to atleast get 2 shots.
On the issue of Europeans, I think they got the vaccine because they didn't give in to reactionary politics and made an informed decision.
American freedom of speech is grossly overrated and if you look around the world, most democracies have the freedom of speech that America enjoys and it isn't anything special to be honest.

COVID is a virus that easily spreads through the air. I think you need to be thinking flu.
I have had three COVID shots and I still can catch the COVID virus. I know people who have had the COVID virus after multiple vaccinations. Then there's people who have had COVID multiple times........again like the flu.

That's not really the issue with Colbert. It's a myopic take.
We had the most bizarre election in recent history. I will give you Trump. However, the Biden fraud, the rushed coronation of Kamala and her ensuing vagueness and doubletalk were comedy gold as well. Colbert rarely touched on it.

Actually the more you are vaccinated the more likely you are to get it...Cleveland Clinic ran a study which brought this to light..It was posted here in the other section.
Herd immunity was never attainable with this virus...Imagine believing that at this juncture..Just wild.
