To be fair, you're asking a lot of him.Think man, think.
Do you know that?Oh dear god, you KNOW that those numbers are NOT adjusted for inflation right? Think man, think.
So where do you get your real "truth" from? Spell it out and give us all a chuckle mister out of speaker control!!No, they speak the kind of truth you want to listen to.![]()
David Olive of the St Catherines Standard writes: "
In the Trudeau years, the Canadian economy grew by 41 percent, to $3.2 trillion. It grew by just 18 percent under Trudeau’s predecessor, Stephen Harper, who governed for roughly the same amount of time.
Per capita income grew by more than 23 percent on Trudeau’s watch, to $77,700, according to the International Monetary Fund (IMF). Trudeau’s predecessor managed only a 7.6 percent increase.
In the main, Canadians became wealthier in the Trudeau years. The median net worth of Canadians soared by about 66 per cent between 2016 and 2023, to $519,000, according to Statistics Canada. Yet Canada’s federal debt to GDP ratio increased only modestly, to almost 50 per cent in 2023, the latest figures available, from 43 per cent in 2015.
On that basic measure of fiscal prudence, Canada ranks better than all G7 countries save traditionally frugal Germany’s 45 percent.
In the Trudeau years, America’s debt-to-GDP ratio jumped to 112 percent from 86 percent. Trudeau came to office promising to reduce the poverty rate. It now nine per cent, down from 14.5 per cent when he first took office. That improvement in Canadian well-being has been achieved in large part by Trudeau’s Canada Child Benefit, which has lifted as many as half a million children from poverty. Trudeau’s national daycare program has also helped, reducing monthly daycare expenses to $400 from about $2,000, dropping further to about $200 in the next two years.
Also helping is the Trudeau government’s introduction of limited denticare and pharmacare, a foundation for future governments to build on."
Who even watches CBC?Tell us who is less biased than CBC and CTV in your opinion? The Rebel, The Sun, or National Post? Waiting to hear your opinion in this respect!!
What bribes did Trudeau give them from his wealth? As usual the righties always buy the usual "Fake Media" crap.
Now, are the reporters "jumping ship" when they report the news that sees the Liberals in bad light?
You alt righties need the eat your apples:

Figures you'd answer hard economic data with a dumbass song praising the convoy and lying that Ontario is poorer than Mississippi. What a maroon!
Figures you'd answer hard economic data with a dumbass song praising the convoy and lying that Ontario is poorer than Mississippi. What a maroon!
And why do you think they didn't include that?Ya, I'm making up inflation & math.Your strong suite.
The rate of inflation during Trudeau's years (they use 2015 and thus so do I) was 27.3%. I'm including the reference...you know. actual evidence, something you think isn't important as you post just opinions.
https://www.bankofcanada.ca/rates/related/inflation-calculator/
As their quote states..
"Per capita income grew by more than 23 percent on Trudeau’s watch"
Given inflation was 27.3% and they say Per Capital income grew 23%...one would think that Per Capita income (a much better measure) shrank...huh. That's inconvenient.
NOW, should we examine Purchasing Power Parity to account for how far the dollar has fallen and how much more expensive it is to live?
BEFORE you get all excited about political bullshit, check the source reference. It quite easy to fool rubes like you with simple math.
Important note: People keep using “Harper” as a warning. Most people now remember the Harper years as the last time they had affordable housing and a sustainable cost of living.
...and having Trudeau blame "mysterious external forces" is not the win you think it is....
So you don't have any proof, just a hunch? If they did, they always include the phrase "inflation adjusted" because they've modified the raw data. If you go to the actual source, you can see that they never did. They don't because they want to manipulate rube's feelings. I think it may have worked.
Adulting tip - always go to the original source.
Shhhhh, they've done their "own research" ....So you don't have any proof, just a hunch?
That was not my statementJohnLarue said:lying that Ontario is poorer than Mississippi. What a maroon!
Yes, please feel free to go see your plumber for medical advice and your mechanic for accounting services. You know best!Yes, yes, because being aware of the basics of how people manipulate statistics and economics as well as going to the original source is "doing their own research"![]()
Here's a good link by Frances Woolley, another leading Canadian economist, so you can practice adulting instead of getting easily mislead by numbers.
Have I put my data into perspective?
- What units I am using (miles, km, tonnes, millions of tonnes, Canadian dollars, 2020 (constant) dollars, nominal (not inflation adjusted) dollars, etc)
This is ALL basic shit that you should have learned in Montessori but didn't.
- For data showing trends over time: are dollar amounts adjusted for inflation?
- For data showing trends over time: have I tried the “year 1=100” approach – i.e. divide by the year 1 value*100?
Maybe I, like other illiterates, should be quoting randos from Twitter/X instead?
Everyone except the righties!!Who even watches CBC?
Is that why they're losing money hand over fist.I guess the NHL is right wing cause they even took HNIC away from them. But I'm sure Anne of Green Gables is a liberal minded show.Everyone except the righties!!
I posted financial data and you answer with a barrage of hate filled verbal excrement. We get it... you loathe his hair!your narcissistic , corrupt moron has done massive damage to our country and has secured his legacy as the worst prime minister in Canadian history.
the damage he has done will be felt for several generations
he has made Canada poorer, far more divided and put the social safety net you cherish so much at great risk
And we will not know the full extent of his stupidity until the conservatives get a proper look at the government finances
selecting an incompetent, corrupt egomaniac as a leader because he had a famous last name was a terrible criteria and Canadians will pay a very steep price for that mistake.
to be totally fair, I had Justin Trudeau pegged as only a moron in 2015 and while I suspected he was narcissistic then, I had no idea how corrupt he was.
it is well past the time you should have realized you backed a complete failure/ disaster.
Only a moron, could still back the narcissistic , corrupt moron at this point
