This pretty rare, a storm named Ciara will hit the United Kingdom tomorrow. Its packing wind gusts of 80MPH which means it falls into a category 1 hurricane.
Does its' rarity have any relation to climate change?

It did quite a bit of that. And winds came within 3MPH of becoming a category 2 hurricane:

Definitely not an extreme weather event linked to climate change then, is it phil?
Did your grandpa tell you?

Think its related to the Antarctic having its warmest day on record, an iceberg the size of Prince Edward Island floating around or the ocean's speeding up?
Or how about just being related to last year being the second warmest year on record?

This is a storm of the Century and the mayhem that it has caused in the United Kingdom:

Storm Ciara: Britain's 'storm of the century' brings chaos with 100mph winds as Met Office warns of further disruption:

https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2020/02/09/storm-ciara-hits-britain-mph-wind-rain-travel/

It is now battering the Northern part of the Europe.

A buddy who lives in the UK said that it is the worst Storm to hit London. It has caused a lot of damage to houses and their surrounding properties.

Well, Climate Change is what is now going to cause more frequent hurricane force storms Globally.
