"Conflict was worth it......if it means Iran will not have nuclear weapons".

If he is trying to impress Trump by repeating the WH slogans and trying to get a better deal on CUSMA he is more delusional than I had imagined.
No condemnation of an illegal, immoral war of agression from a guy who was pretentitious enough to write a tome on VALUES.

Actually from day 1 Carney agreed with clipping any chance of Iran getting a nuclear weapon.
Carney is definitely more supportive of Trump's illegal war than Europe
who are also opposed to Iran getting a nuclear weapons.

Canada ‘abandoning’ international law with support for U.S. strikes on Iran, say former diplomats

Though Canada's approach to Iran has been 'well-aligned' with the United States for many years, Prime Minister Mark Carney's government has been reluctant to condemn any suspected violations of international law by President Donald Trump, note foreign policy experts.

With Canada’s endorsement of American and Israeli air strikes on Iran, a past Liberal foreign minister and former international law practitioners are signalling alarm over what they call the federal government’s indifference to international law.

You can debate if you agree with him or not but his stance hasn't changed.

I disagree with Carney on this. But yes, he has supported this from day 1.

I totally agree.
I support his economic and domestic policies, and his handling of the U.S., but this is for me raises red flags.
You give a speech like that at Davos, you better walk that walk.
I don't believe for a minute that he believed the war was about nuclear weapons.

Who's debating and who cares whether he is consistent or not. His "stance" about Iran's nuclear weapons is an out and out lie, and he knows it.

In the end we have little to no say in the outcome of this. And its doubtful we will see much economic activity with Iran in the coming years. So essentially we are just sidelined.

The statement is fine imo. Its really not going to register because we just don't have much skin in this game. But CUSMA is coming up. And Carney's primary responsibility is to Canada.

Let Iran, USA, Israel and other nations deal with it.

It's impossible to deal with an 80 year old with a 4 year old mind and the entitlement of Francis from pee wee Herman. The Republicans have tried in earnest to overthrow our politically elected governments in vain and economically cripple our economy to the point we would want to join the cesspool to the south. Thankfully Canada is far more resilient than the losers to the south and we did not elect Republican Patsy penis polyeve and instead their plan completely backfired and caused us to elect a superior liberal leader
