Agreed. Very amateurish and homerish. You're not the first person to mention that to me. Every time Canada plays I dread the commentary especially the colour commentary guy (Terry Dunfield).
I’ve watched nearly every minute of Canada’s World Cup qualifying, and I honestly think the second half of yesterday’s game against Costa Rica is the best soccer that I’ve seen them play. Down to 10 men, they attacked relentlessly, and with any luck could have had 4 or 5 goals. Oh well, now that can wrap it up on home soil on Sunday.
It's more fun to watch them clinch at home, can't wait to watch the players freak out/celebrate and fans going nuts!!!!!!

I agree that the first fault of Kaye was possibly a straight red.
But the second one is ridiculous. It's a complete dive. Venegas played for Montreal back in 2015. I remember him well. He was an annoying player...

He did fall extremely easy. A feather would have downed him.
But Kaye, being a professional player, should be mature enough not to push somebody.
Having to get through these games without Davies and Eustaquio is starting to show, fortunately they've built up a big lead.

Canada only needs a tie or Costa Rica not to win and they clinch a birth in the WC. However, they are going for the win, a win clinches them 1st place.

Worst case scenario: Should Canada lose the last 2 games, and Costa Rica wins their last 2 games, it would be goal differential as the tiebreaker, Canada has plus 11 goals, Costa Rica has plus 1. Should Canada fall into 4th spot they would enter a (2 legged) playoff with mostly likely New Zealand.
Even though we're up 2 nil, and domintaed the first half, Borjan had to make a couple of outstanding saves even though he was "cold".
