I have been to Chicago ( and Boston) and they are both top 5 but the open sexuality and party atmosphere in summer still gives Montreal the edge although the music in Chicago is fairly inspiring too.

The Chicago waterfront in summer is pretty special - just need French Canadian women there.
My experience has been the women in Chicago are very friendly too, and many, many hot ones! I've had some great experiences with the people in Chicago.

I've been pretty much everywhere in NA and Chicago is my favourite.

Yes, Montreal girls are also very friendly and hot, so I can't really disagree (except for the hockey team part ;)).

That is one of the real charms of this, right now you're being held up for ransom by an outspoken minority that's using the peculiarities of your system....

I assume you are speaking about the Conservatives, in their resort to suspending the Parliament?

The other side has the majority.

They would thankfully wither in the long run. Without Canadas size and money backing up the farce that is the french language in that area they would be forced to speak English, just like the real world. Their precious little "french' culture couldn't survive on its own.

We would win as then packaging could go back to giving us more complete info as there is room to print all the info in just one language Canadian.

You don't know what you're talking about. Montreal has one the most viable aerospace clusters in the entire world. They're attracting major investment committments from large international players that could go anywhere. Quebec has some of the greatest hydroelectric capacity in the world. I would argue that they have better advantages than Ontario...our power industry's a joke. They have some very entrepreneurial areas, like the Beace region in the eastern townships, that are home to some very interesting companies.

I really think anglo canadians have this weird contempt for quebecers that I really don't get. I've always found them to be great people, certainly more cultured than your average ontarian.
They would do very well on their own, but only in the medum term. In the short term, the uncertainties would just clobber them.

Question...Is the Bloc in the 'Coalition' or not? According to Mr. Dion,,,they are NOT.

Therefore 114<143! And the only outcome of a non-confidence is an election.

I say BRING IT ON!

Everything in Quebec that does anything is because of MAJOR federal backing...
The aerospace industry is founded on the anchoring of Air Canada and the Canadian Space Agency!

And please tell me why the environmentalists don't whine about the environmental destruction of the hydro projects in Quebec...100,000 square miles and counting!

Maybe originally. All large industrial installations seek subsidy from governments nowadays; Ontario virtually throws money at every auto plant without conditions. They stay because it makes business sense to do so.
Bombardier may have received some subsidies but they're a great canadian success story too. And they're expanding at the moment, unlike the foreign owned auto industry here.
