Fact: The Nobel Institute confirmed that Mann's claims that he was a "co-recipient" of the Nobel Prize was total bullshit.
Let's consider Mann's blather about "confusion" (who among us has not at some point got confused about whether they've received a Nobel Prize? ). Even if you accept that malarkey, it confirms that Mann will run with things he wants to believe without making any effort to check the facts.
That's not unique to Mann.
Consider this major error from late 2018. A supposedly peer reviewed paper in Nature on ocean warming had some enormous mathematical errors. The errors were caught by a climate "contrarian" who wasn't included in the review process.
The researchers deserve credit in this case for withdrawing the paper.
But we're still left with a very inconvenient question: How the hell did this thing ever get through the peer review process?

Climate contrarian uncovers scientific error, upends major ocean warming study
Researchers with the University of California, San Diego's Scripps Institution of Oceanography and Princeton University recently walked back scientific findings published last month that showed oceans have been heating up dramatically faster than previously thought as a result of climate change.
