It was a conspiracy to dupe the Jays.
And they would've gotten away with it too....except for those meddling kids!!

Extra innings question - Why not walk the first batter to put runners at first and second? You set up the double play and the force at third.

This strategy may work slightly better for the visiting team as the runner on first does not matter.

he does if they scored a run in the top

otherwise sounds good to me depending on who they walked. If he is their best hitter totally walk him

lots of strategy which is what baseball is the best sport to watch for

even though i disagree with the runner on second base rule

play one extra inning and then call it a tie like other sports do

got to stop those 15 inning games exception is playoffs

does a run scored count on pitchers era? I would think not as he inherited runner

I heard the Houston Astros are a bunch of liars and cheaters. Rumours has it that they even stole a World Series.
That is some inside stuff. Can you please enlighten us as to your insights and the origin of these sources? This might be big, breaking news.

I don't follow MLB and the Jays as closely as I should.

Is George Springer the guy we're paying $150mm? Did Houston know something we don't? Did any other team offer him a contract?

What I was thinking too. I hear Springer stubbed his toe nail back in 2017. Injury prone. How did the Jays' front office not pick up on that?!

Thank god we had you to tell us, Darts. Otherwise, no one would ever have found out!

FYI, darts says that he never gets mocked by knowledgeable, respectable posters. I hope you realize what this means in regard to your reputation.

A tough one to lose yesterday especially when they couldn't bring in the run in the 10th inning. Lots to play still but we need to capitalize on wins when we are scoring 5 runs.

Hopefully Springer and Pearson come back soon, season is still young .

I believe Zeuch gets the start tonight, he looked good against the Yankees..

Vlad looking good!

So does Grichuk, great offensively and spectacular defensively ( 2 great diving catches last night). Gonna be a tough decision to take him out of lineup for Springer. I would take out Gurriel jr , he's really struggling at the plate, in order to keep Grichuk in.

It depends on who the second batter is and whether they think they can get him to GIDP.

Vlady should be the clean-up hitter with Grichuk hitting behind him. Teoscar chases too many sinkers, eating up RBI chances.

Why is Ross Stripling No.2 on the rotation, he looks more like Ross Sapling. Makes you wish Franco Stripoli played baseball.

That gentleman you quoted is constantly criticized by other members. He even claims to be a lawyer and teaches at UofT.

People jumped off the Vlad bandwagon way to soon. I even would have to explain to friends who kept saying "he's a bust" that they were morons if they felt that way. He just turned 22 which is a baby in the baseball world. Majority of players don't even make their debut until 23 or 24. People have no patience when it comes to baseball, and the irony is it's the sport you need the most patience for.

I especially love at the beginning of the year when teams get off to a slow start, and people hit the panic button. You know how many times the Yankees have gotten off to bad starts only to end up going deep into post season? Makes me laugh.

Not directing this at you BTW, just a general comment about people's over reactions to baseball.

Provided him and Bo become the solid players they're projected to be, the good news is we have them both for 4 more years after this. The bad news is decent players will be making 50 million a year by then and we'll lose them...lol.

Well said mate and couldn't agree with you more - the season is so long that it def. takes patience to finish.
