With Saunders/Pompey they are guaranteed to have more power than Revere. It is whether those two can hit/get on base consistently.

I would settle for .800-.850 OPS
Will see. Revere has much better stats than either of those guys. Maybe they'll get better.

But not more power. In the quote I referenced you specifically were hoping for more power from left field and I said that more power is a given.

Yeah, I should've not said that. Baseball is about advancing the runner and Ben was much closer to .800 OPS than either of those guys. I agree with the trade of an outfielder for an arm(outfield is a low skill position), trading a DH for a starter is even better idea. I think Edwin will be next.

I did my post from memory. Anyways, the most memorable is how he sat out most of the 2015 playoffs when the team needed all hands on deck.

From those statistics:

54 games unavailable, in 7 seasons.
That's ~7.7 games/season.
The last 3 years, Cecil has appeared in 66, 60, 63 games respectively.
That doesn't seem to be a fragile player.
Injuries happen in every sport.
Nothing from the report above really indicates chronic issues.

I'm pretty sure Brett Cecil didn't sit out most of the 2015 playoffs.
He had a torn calf muscle.
Pretty tough to pitch with a torn calf muscle, though maybe not from SkyRider's couch.

This has been debated many times already and almost everybody who saw the video don't understand how an elite professional athlete could tear his calf muscle chasing somebody a few feet. I have no intention to continue the debate. Let's just hope he doesn't get injured again.

There has been no debate.
You made a wild, unsubstantiated claim.
It was clearly shown to be false.

A true baseball fan never wants to see any player injured.

I've seen players blow out a knee running without being hit. Have you ever seen a player pull a hamstring running to first base? I have many times. It happens. You seem to think he just decided he didn't want to help his team win in the playoffs. That's stupid.

Just because Skyrider can't understand how it happened means everybody else has to accept that he really wasn't injured. Which begs the question, did he not want to play in the playoffs or was it the Jays that didn't want him to play?

Ok, let's hope Cecil never runs to 1B or play tag with his kids or play touch football with the girls. As per my post above, he gets hurt every year, yes, every single year. He even hurt himself cleaning his blender.

It depends on how we see he operates. Does he really try to build upon the team that was almost good enough last year or does he start to dismantle and cut costs at the first sign of a slide?

Personally, I don't like the fucker. Or trust him for that matter.

Didnt he already start to dismantle the team, or am I imagining things??

What dismantling? So far Price was a rental. And Revere was traded for a good reliever. They picked up options on all players pretty much.

Now if they start trading names for prospects then fine. But until then really we have the same team going out there next year. With a healthy Stroman.

Sure, lets hope he stops at that though. I'm already not happy with Revere leaving :frown:

Price (as much as I love the guy cause he's a team player) I'm not too worried about leaving
