MLB, what is with this weekday afternoon scheduling bullshit? Over 2 million Jays fans in Toronto will be at work or school during the first 2 games of the series, and one way or another these games will be watched. School and work will be missed, and those who do stay will not be productive, constantly checking the score or streaming it on their computer at work. I can see that MLB doesn't care about the Canadian economy.

It is the FOX netwrk to blame. Think about it...least desirable series for them is .......toronto v texas .....other games involve new york, los angeles, and maybe chicago, defending al champs Kansas City....but ya, it is not good for toronto...and see my next post

GREAT NEWS FOR A TERBITE! There are 2 things each of you wants more than anything 1. You want to meet Nad Smith 2. You want to go to game 2 friday afternoon. Well due to the scheduling, my daughter cant go, I have a single seat in section 523, row 5 for sale. Right behind home plate, great view.......I paid $500 for the pair, so I hope you can handle close to half of that.

PM me if interested. I will have the hard ticket tomorrow

I truly believe the Jays are the class of the AL. We will beat Texas in 4, and the ALCS in 5.
No predictions yet on the WS since there is so much good pitching in the NL.

MLB doesn't want to go up against the NFL game. Wise move if you ask me.

The ball game is at 8pm, so still going to be a traffic nightmare after the football game.

I would go with Price game 1 and Dickey game 2 because his home record is so much better than his away record.
I would go with whoever Gibby and AA pick.

Another case where even the most knowledgeable TERBITE has a minute fraction of the knowledge of the game as to how it's played and each particular game coming up, their daily proximity and interaction with the players and on and on and on.

I'm a fan which means I'm cheering for the management to do well as well as the players doing well.

And management might be right in whatever they decide to do.
Still part of the fun is fans discussing who they think fits in best where. If you tune in to any sports radio talk show in Canada or the U.S. it goes on all the time with both show hosts and call people who call in.
What's the harm in all that, just part of the fun of following sports.

Cathal Kelly put decisions in a good context in his column today:

Dude....what are you going on about???

what's the point in watching sports if you can't voice your opinion? Should we just sit here in silence?

You always expect your ace to step it up in the big games and prove he's the best. Look for a different David when it's all on the line.

Game 1 should be Price v Gallardo
Game 2 should be Hamels; I would keep the same rotation and go with Estrada
Game 3 should be Stroman against one of the less accomplished Texas starters.

Jays in 3.
Shouldn't we be concerned a little with the youth in the backend of the bullpen? Osuna will give me more white hair if he comes in and tries to protect a 2-1 lead in the 9,for example. I hope Osuna and Sanchez proved me wrong! Go Jays Go!

Sure we should be concerned, but that's who is there. Hope the offense can take some pressure off of them. Thay may be fine, but only time will tell.
