me 2!Kawasaki does a couple of things really well. Working the pitchers and getting on base. He's also a good moral builder. I like him.

Shit. I thought he had a chance to be a 20 game winner this year.Marcus Stroman expected to miss entire 2015 season, torn A.C.L.
I strongly-disagree.I think most agree that Gibbons is a way below average manager.....and then must ask why he is still employed. I know its just the first spring training game, but there he is looking totally nonchalant.
During his first term as manager...I thought his strength was knowing exactly when to pull a pitcher and who to bring in....now thats questionable.
We need an up and comer or maybe a recently retired player who went to the world series a few times. A Jason Veritek or that guy with the funny batting stance who got a lot of walks and played for the red sox (going crazy trying to remember his name). In short, a winner who wants to be in the world series. Keep Hale as bench coach to help with the moves.
I love Cito- I saw the Jays win the World Series live in '93 and was a huge fan when I was very young...So why didn't a major league team, other than the Jays ever offer him a the manager's job? Don't you find it odd that he wins 2 world series in his first gig as a manager, and after he is released by the jays no one offers him a managers job until the Jays hire him in desperation?
Gibbons does not excite me as a manager, but I wouldn't can him(yet) based on what he has done with this time around with the Jays. I don't think it mattered who the manager was the last two years the Jays weren't going anywhere.
I'm against putting Sanchez in the rotation. We need a closer out there. Nobody in our pen is capable of it.
Cecil is setup man at best. Definitely not closer stuff.
Come to think of it, as much as I love Russell Martin on our team. With all this Navarro fiasco, we should have invested the money on some pen guys. Navarro didn't do a bad job with our rotation or offence. Instead, we didn't really upgrade or add to our pen.

Apparently we can't expect to see Santana in the majors before late May or June. They seem to think it will take him that long to get ready. If I understand his contract correctly HE can opt out at the end of April if he is NOT with the big club by then. Personally I hope Santana is patient enough to wait for an opportunity. If he is close to where he was he will help. I agree I am not sure the 87 mph fastball will suffice but then how hard does Buhrle throw?Jenn, i dunno about johan. His fastball prob tops at 87 mph. Im not against sanchez in the rotation. We dont have a shutdown guy in the pen. We know sanchez can strike guys out. Thats wut we want out of a closer.
buehrle is different. He relies on an assortment of pitches. He also cuts his fastball. Santana relies on his effective circle change up. In order for your change up to be effective, your fastball has to have a bit of juice or differential between fastball and change up.Apparently we can't expect to see Santana in the majors before late May or June. Buehrle's fastball averaged 83.9mph last year.how hard does Buhrle throw?
