Goins is an excellent infielder and a good enough major league hitter...will be interesting when Travis is back.......what will happen? And how come Goins doesn't have hair?

On another note, I watched game on TV tonight with my girlfriend sitting behind home plate. On Saturday i will be sitting with her at the game.

I'd be surprised if Travis comes back this year, rehab hasn't gone well.
It'd be a great problem to have though. A Travis-Goins platoon at second would be unreal

I'm actually happy Osuna finally blew a save.
I'd rather he blow one now as opposed to the 7th game of the World Series

First they are not related. Blowing a save now will NOT affect the chances of blowing a save in the world series, other than perhaps establishing a confidence issue. There is no quota of blown saves, or he would blow them all now so he never blows another one ever. Second, the theory is great, perhaps it's good that Tulo isn't hitting and EE has ended the streak and perhaps if the defense and pitching go to hell for a while it will be better than losing it all in the 7th game of the world series. However, the Jays are not in the world series, they are barely in the division lead with a month left. Maybe they should play well so they can in fact have a chance of getting to the world series. (note i neglected to say "we" are not in the world series. I have a regular job, I'm not on the team. Funny how when things get good suddenly it's a WE proposition LOL) Third, the Jays don't want to be in a wild card position because anything can happen in one game. For the same reason they don't want to be in the 7th game of the world series. That is, of course unless they have a one or two game lead in the series, although 5 would be ideal.

PS-Now that EE has finished his hit streak, we can continue with the discussion about the Jays getting ready to release him. Goins is probably a better 4th hitter anyway, as he proved last night.

I think 2 major changes have occurred since about July 1.

First, the BJ's used to be very good at finding ways to lose a game; now they find ways to win.

Second, the quality of the bench has improved tremendously, especially since the addition of Colabello.

Bosox have been feeding out rookie AAA starters and the Yanks have been drinking their blood.

Bosox hit 8 runs off Yankee pitching themselves today and Miller and Betances had to be thrown in to stop the Yanks' own bleeding.

The Yankees and the Jays have very similar schedules and in June. Basically all games against the AL East including seven against the eachother.

The only difference that I can see that can help is while they face the Mets for three we will be facing the Woeful Braves.
