What do you guys think of CYTR?
What bio stocks do you think will double in the next couple of months?
If you had 10k to put into 1 stock for a few months which would it be?

I wouldn't put all my eggs in one basket. If you can't pick a basket of biotechs to invest in there is always exchange traded funds. I have BIB which has done very well the last several months.

Tekmira. TSX - TKM

Not sure how far and how much longer the trajectory of this biotech will reach, but it's recent performance has been astronomical.

Anyone buying in at $5.00 and below, was in the $2 range for a long time, which was basically a 3 year time frame and held on would have been very happy.

Bought in a 2.80. Held for well over 2 years. Sold at $13.80 in January 2014.

Now??? ....... $$23.95!!!!!!

Anyone have any advice on TSE - ONC?

Unloaded all my CLDX this morning. Took my profits and time to look for something else. Still have HALO though.

Did you get out of halo in time? I sold agio, but it's still going strong.
I sold HALO 3 weeks ago. Stock has tanked since then, still made a decent profit. I bought Surge Energy right after I sold HALO. Biotech has fallen out of favour big time.

Canadian energy stocks like Surge and many others are still
very undervalued after the recent price run up. Oil price has risen
to a level that is about to put a lid on growth. Last time I checked
it was trading around USD$103. At this price Twin Butte Energy
is trading on fire sale price. Even the more richly valued stocks like
Whitecap Resources and Bonterra Energy would make great buy
after a 10% correction which may happen should oil price pull
back to its support level which I place at $90.

If you count on the economy to continue to improve to stay
invested in the broad stock market bear this in mind. Nothing
plausible would bring oil price down while economic activities
are rising at the same time.

What's the reason? Their last big drug tamiflu is now considered ineffective by most doctors.
They still have shown good growth and have a deep pipeline, not to mention with all the M&A activity in the sector they are becoming an attractive takeover target.

Hi there, I just wanted to say thank you for your recommendation of TBE. I am now long TBE in a hefty position after reading a bit more about the stock and others' opinions on it. Just a question out of curiosity, what kind of timeframe are you looking to hold it and with what sort of target share price?

TBE came tumbling down today, down 17%. HALO could be a good buy though as the PEGPH20 Phase 2 trial continues.
