Unless I missed it - Neil Young's name is absent. Surprising that nobody has mentioned him. I wonder if it has anything to do with his current album/tour - abject crap IMO. But he really should be at/near the top of any such list.
Agree. After 40 years he deserves this a hell of a lot more than some freakin bunch of nobodies like Skinny Puppy .

Thanks Glavaman. I forgot about Daniel Lanois even though he is a favorite of mine.
We also forgot to include Bruce Cockburn who has also had a long and critically acclaimed career if not big commercially.
On a lesser note a contemporary of Bruce's for a while was Murray McLauchlan.
A few more names: BTO, A Foot in Cold Water, Men Without Hats, Gino Vanelli, Andy Kim, The Poppy Family, Cowboy Junkies, Crash Test Dummies, Anne Murray.

Well I'm glad someone stood up

I'm fucking ashamed to be living in this great country when it took so long for someone to mention Stompin Tom.

About time for someone to stand up.

Tom is a one and only.

Ivana Santilli is amazing. Only one solo CD so far, I hope she has a few more in her. Too bad she didn't get the exposure like some of the American young artists.
I think that Ivana may have some suprises for us. Incredibly talented and ripe.

Anywhere there's a Strip Joint
Crash Test Dummies, I'm sorry but Brad Roberts voice was pathetic. As for Cowboy Junkies, music to sleep by, damn boring.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned Céline Dion

Even though she has sold and continues to sell more albums than almost anyone, sells out every tour she makes, and has won almost every award imaginable, it's almost impossible to find anyone who will admit to being a fan of hers.

They're back !!!

MALHAVOC !!!

FYI :

HALLOWEEN HAVOC MISFITS BALL

On Tuesday October 28.2003 witness the transformation of the FUNHAUS to the 'haunted' FUNHAUS. Never before and never again, will a Halloween event take place in Toronto, such as this.

Featuring live performances by:

**MISFITS** - Featuring original member Jerry Only, Dez- of Black Flag and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee Markey Ramone.
**MALHAVOC** - Toronto's Best, Industrial Metal, Dark, Heavy... very Halloween
**sEx WiThOuT sOuLs** - Goth Rockers from Hell !
**ZUGHA** - Raw punk with no commercials. Hide your daughters!

Luckily it's not on the same night as the TERB party. That would be quite the quandary.
