Bandit, you are definitely right. Heart was first formed in US, then they moved to Vancouver , hence their signing with the Canadian label Mushroom in early 70's.
Thanks for your correction. Here is a link I found on Heart:
No one has ever come close to Neil Young in terms of longevity, diversity and influence on other artists.
Next would be Joni Mitchell.
The Band
Guess Who
Gordon Lightfoot
Leonard Cohen
Best Band: Lighthouse......only nominating them as they should never be forgotten and many of the groups listed are simply not in their league musically. Best singer: David Clayton Thomas ...for exactly the same reasons.
Lisa Dalbello
Leonard Cohen.
Maria Del Mar [National Velvet]
The Spoons [fun 80s sodapopmusic]
Skinny Puppy [new albumn coming in 2004]
Frontline Assembly,
Delerium
Decoded Feedback [they're so CUTE!!!]
Forgotten Rebels [cant forget them]
Molly Johnson [gods love her voice]
Mitsou. [ a true quebecois popstar]
Rock&Hyde
does anyone remember "Eva Everything". she was part of the queen west music scene in the very early 80s.
Unless I missed it - Neil Young's name is absent. Surprising that nobody has mentioned him. I wonder if it has anything to do with his current album/tour - abject crap IMO. But he really should be at/near the top of any such list.
