Yeah, this is a very illustrative example of how easy it is to end up missing out on the best a foreign country has to offer. Sometimes we're just not geared to understand it when a place is different from what we've become so used to over the years.

Had a fairly disappointing dinner at a place I've been meaning to try last night, which was a bad start to what ended up being a fantastic night. Dinner and cocktails was about $100 for two, we then went out to a karaoke bar and met up with three of her friends. Half a bottle of rum for me, beers and numerous shots for the girls and a fun time was had by all. Total bar tab $90, amazing. Eventually came back to my apartment with three of the girls for more drinks and to chill in the hot tub and have a few go arounds with different combinations of the girls. They eventually left around 6am or so, gave them each 300k for the night. So in total spent $300 dollars on the girls, $200 on dinner drinks, another $100 on taxis and tussi for the ladies. All in all one of the best nights I think I've ever had here, for less than a two hour outcall back home

Checked out fase dos last night, price for a session is up to 300k pesos which caught me off guard. Then I thought about it and realized my first trip the session was 170k, but the dollar was at 1800 to 1 so its actually almost the same cost ten years later. Ton of talent, and something for all tastes, tall, short, black, white, native, slender, thick, natural, silicone filled. Was like a buffet. I would suggest you do Bogotá or medellin to be honest. I know people want a beach but the beach in Cartagena is frankly not great, you need to leave the city for nice beaches. Also, the only people I know who didn't like Colombia are the ones who went to ctg..... I personally like it in small doses, but the vendors and the rappers and the scammers are relentless and everywhere, it gets annoying pretty fast.

Thst being said, best strip club is pleyclub about 20 minutes from the old town. Pick up bars are space and opera in the old city, and during the day there might be girls working at playa Hollywood.

There's also plenty of good food options in ctg. Although for me nothing beats a fries fish with patacones and coconut rice on the beach

La Isla is still the biggest night club venue. Generally there were about 50-80 chicas each night I went. Quality not spectacular, most in the 7-8 range and a very few 8.5. Most have silicone. Entry is 50,000 COP and does not include a drink. Beer and water are 35,000. I purchased a few chica drinks at 60,000 each, I think they were cocktails. Ended up repeating with a chica from a prior trip. Excellent time. The onsite fee is now 550,000 which includes the room and the chica. Gave her a tip for some extra service. I tipped the waiter a little too. For the night I took a chica, all in it was about 1,000,000 which is about $250 US.

Fase II is now a bit smaller and has lounge-type seats all around the stage and the far side. If you want to sit there, expect to pay a few hundred thousand COP for bottle service. This really only works well with a group, so if you are solo your only option for economical seating is at the bar, which has limited seating anyways. That sucks. Fortunately I found a seat. I wasn't impressed with the quality, most 7-8. There was a hottie with a great rack with two guys next to me. They were hanging out for at least 30-40 minutes so I thought for sure one guy was going to take her out. But in the end they let her go, I had stepped out to the restroom and when I returned she was already with another guy on the other side. LOL. That is how recon goes sometimes. I have had some great experiences here before though, so this club is still in the rotation, at least for gem hunting.

Probably 10 of the chicas came by and introduced themselves in the first 30 minutes I was there - again, this would never happen at the other two clubs. I narrowed my choice down to 2 and they both knew they were in the running and giving me the look. When I made my choice, the one I didn't pick wasn't pleased LOL. Thank you for the report. From financial stand point, after adding up your expense of flight, hotels, and paying cover charges, would you say MDE Colombia hobby is still a bargain compare to hobbying in Toronto seeing agency girls incall?

My trips are for vacations I'd be taking anyways, I need to travel. So I don't look at it that way.

Generally the P4P costs in Latin America are lower / much lower compared to a similar experience in TO. Though if I separate out that component, I still end up spending more on vacation, because I'm indulging more. Maybe 1-2K in a 1-week vacation versus 0.5-1K at home. You can't beat the combination of getting away for a week, enjoying a different city and culture, and having some fun every day.

I've been going to Colombia for a little over 10 years, including Bogota a number of times for a few days to 2 weeks at a visit. Been to Cali, Cartagena, San Andres and Santa Marta.

1. Do you need a local contact - Really depends on the person traveling and their experience and comfort level. I've never used a guide, although there is a Woodman chap on ISG that offers tours through Sante Fe. Are you a nervous traveler? Do you have common street sense? Do you speak and understand at least basic Spanish?
2. What are the best practices to not get ripped off - Anyone can be in the wrong place at the wrong time, but in all my travels, I've never had a big problem. Use common sense - don't get loaded in public, don't flash money, jewelry, watch, phone, etc. Don't be a jerk - be polite but firm. Don't look like you are lost and be wandering the streets with your phone out reading Google Maps. Be careful who you bring back to your room. Lock your valuables in a safe.
3. Any hotels you can suggest for stay without worrying about safety - I've used Ibis Bogota Museo numerous times and walked to Sante Fe from there. Teqendama Suites and San Francisco Hotel are also in the area and walking distance to Sante Fe. AirBnBs are also an option, although it has been years since I rented one in Bogota so my info is not current.. In the Parque 93 area, Hotel Estalar served me well when I wanted a higher end experience. All depends on what you like and are comfortable spending.

There's a number of day trips you can do from Bogota, such as the salt mines in Zipaquira and I enjoy walking around in Candelaria and Chapinero. Monserrate is a must at least once, but better with a date. You can fly to just about anywhere fun in Colombia if you decide Bogota is not for you. If you can't have a blast in Colombia, it's you, not Colombia. I hope you have fun!

I typically wife up while there and have a number of female contacts I can reach out to for fun and/or travel that I have met in person and trust enough. Next is a return to Santa Marta next month where I will be enjoying a new friend for a week. She's fully videocall vetted and I am looking forward to the trip!
