Well I did not end up taking the night off. Went out for dinner and for a walk and decided to check out la isla/the girls. It's a high end strip club in the las palmas area, definitely not for the budget minded.
The way it works is the girls go to tables after their dances and ask for tips from the patrons, usually like 2-4k pesos (around a dollar each) and they will hang out at your table with you provided you buy them overpriced cocktails which they get a commission on. You can take them to the back room for 40 minutes (320k - about $115) or pay an exit fee to take the girl out (180k - $65) + whatever you negotiate with her for time.
I enjoy these places, the shows are fun there's a ton of girls walking around you get a little feel usually when your tipping the dancers, and I love the reggaeton they play for the stage show. Ordered a half bottle of rum, changed 100k pesos into small bills for tips and sat down expecting just to have a couple drinks and call it a night. Unfortunately (fortunately?) I was smitten with the first girl I saw on stage, short blond girl with some meat on her ass from Manizales which is a nearby smaller city. Hung out with her for a good hour, bought her some cocktails, tipped the dancers and finally took her to the back room which is pretty spartan but at least had hot water which isn't a given lol. Had a good time, cost of the bottle, drinks for the girl and fun time in the back was about 700k total - $250. Like I said, not the cheapest place and frankly gfe is a little tough to find, but I always have fun there. Fase dos is the other high end strip club in the city and will usually cost about 60-70% of La isla prices. There's budget ones as well, I've only been a couple times and they're fine but require more hunting for a diamond in the rough
