This seems like a good change to bring awareness and create positive progress.

Although I don’t agree with police defunding, I believe they need more funding and training and investment in other programs, this seems like a positive change in the midst of the forced racial divide happening in the states.

To me it was pancake syrup, never really paid attention to the name, same goes for rice, it was a brand of rice we got used to.

If changing the name helps, why not there are many names to pick from, in a year or two nobody will remember the previous brand name.
I just wonder how many of these names will be offensive to different races, groups of people.
Will Jews now want anything with a german name changed, Will Ukrainians want anything with a Polish or Russian name changed will anything named after any leader form the Southern side of the civil war need to be changed.
Will the systemic racism all over Europe against the Roma change by eliminating certain words or names.
If all this helps bring peace and improve the systemic racism that still exists then why not, but does changing names really change the way people were brought up by their parents by the values instilled in them in the regions they live in and by the influence of others on them.

I'm waiting for the ANTIFA crowd to go after Porsche- Ferdinand was Adolph's buddy after all. Of course their victims were not sufficiently black, so there's that.

Don't you know the definition of a white supremacists/racist? Any white person who doesn't feel guilty.

jc, tisk, tisk, tisk again. If you only did some background, I wouldn't have to do it for you.

Aunt Jemima probably would have gone out as a product brand long ago, if not for Gone With the Wind. The product was on the way out in 1930's, the film gave it a face. Hattie McDaniel suffered for it.

Typical hyperbolic smearing by the righties with ZERO basis in fact. Got proof? Didn't think so. You people just take things too far.

FORM is not SUBSTANCE.

A quality brand is a quality brand. I love Aunt Jemima's Pancakes. I have great memories of big black women cooking me fabulous meals. And I have enjoyed cooking for them too.

I guess my fond love and memories of Creole, Cajun, and JERK will have to be re-named too.

If you know nothing about cooking, then JERK is particularly offensive to Jamaicans.

No doubt all this re-naming will root out every aspect of racial prejudice.

Pity it will eliminate all my positive memories of quality food, quality times and quality people..

I don't like pancakes anyway at the best of times.

Pancakes are like donuts to me or at least my body reacts the same way. As soon as I finish a donut or a pancake it's like I can feel my blood sugar rising. Still like pancakes though and much like everything else donuts were a lot better when I was a kid

Or at least any white person who doesn't feel guilty about thinking people with different skin colours or cultures inferior.

I totally get it but man it sucks if you're the company to lose an established brand name like that. Gunna cost 'em big bucks!
