You point out Jews for peace, IJV Canada etc etc...yes franky Jews are against violence too, they've been on the short end of the stick for centuries...Driven out of Egypt...the Nazis gave them the train ride of their lives, they are constantly attacked from all sides since the conception of Israel...but you still think Hamas is not the problem...see how stupid you sound?
The occupation is 75 years old, rich.
Before Hamas it was the PLO.
After Hamas it will be someone else unless the occupation is ended.

75 years? more like almost 100 years of conflict...you conveniently pick 75 years because it suits your narrative...the jews have been the victims of violence way way before that. Hamas PLO Islamic Jihad...cut with the same cloth....why have there been no elections since Hamas took power?

When I learned German in high school, I never suspected that I would be forced into a degraded sub-culture of wiener and sauerkraut lunches, schnapps and yodeling.

It took me years of therapy to become a normal everyday Canadian again. That's what being forced to learn another culture does to you.
The difference is you weren't forced to take German in school, it was an elective.

According to the Belgian news portal “Sudinfo,” a school in the Belgian city of Leuven has decided to make Arabic a mandatory subject in the sixth grade for all students enrolled in the “Modern Languages” program.

It is pure clickbait rage-farming garbage. If parents choose to enroll their kids in the program then Arabic is part of the curriculum. If you enroll you kids into hockey then skating is mandatory in the same vein, if you enroll you kids into a music program then playing the piano is mandatory in the same vein.
I've coached hockey at all levels for more than a decade, and I can say with confidence that skating is not a mandatory part of a lot of coaches' programs.

Reading comprehension fail!

" a school in the Belgian city of Leuven has decided to make Arabic a mandatory subject in the sixth grade for all students enrolled in the “Modern Languages” program. This isn’t about teaching the language out of pure interest in linguistic diversity. No, the school’s director, Frank Baeyens, openly speaks of a “philosophical and cultural” opening of the students. The goal is to introduce children to a language that is entirely different in structure, script, and symbols "

You got angry and blacked out before you read that part didn't you. It's o.k. bud, the Arabic-language teacher at one school in Belgium isn't coming to take your freedom, I promise.

IMO Arabic is good for learning...almost 1/8 of the world speaks arabic...also comes in handy if you happen to find yourself in the Middle East...great food, great historic sites, Middle East has everything going for them...if you look past the conflicts happening there constantly. One of the best fucks I experienced was n Doha, Qatar.
Actually there are 375 million native speakers of Arabic. That's about 5%.

How so? He was trying to equate his voluntary learning of German in high school to 6th graders being told they must take Arabic as part of the curriculum.

True, zionism has been trying to colonize Palestine for about 100 years.
Before that, Palestine was a multicultural country.

There have been no Palestinian elections because the US tried to start a coup after Hamas won the last election, that really pissed them off. Netanyahu for years was funding Hamas to keep Palestinians divided so to stop the two state solution.

This was posted in Israel on Oct 8, last year.

But they elected to take the "modern languages program", which - oddly enough - teaches modern languages. Just like I elected to take "German", which - oddly enough - taught German.

If they elected to take "Science", I am guessing they would learn simple physics and biology.... Right??

But Hindi, Mando and Spanish have more speakers.
Also India has Bollywood, China is a major player, India has a future.
Arabic is spoken in a bunch of failed states [even by Latin American standards] and is filled with problematic people in an area that has very little to speak for it in terms of tourism, when you consider it's danger. Unless one has as I mentioned above, very regional needs, or ancestral/religious reasons to, Arabic is not exactly on the list of languages to learn. . It's also got a brutal grammar system. I say this as someone who has recently developed a fondness for Egyptian movies.

You are not going to have Mando, Hindi AND arabic being taught as standard, and if you are going to pick up, again ignoring some very local issues [year Dearborn MI I'm looking at you], Arabic isn't the go to choice.
Aside from being the major world cultural language through the Medieval period?

Latin? You know the major world cultural language who kept improving. The Arabic world contributed very little [not nothing but little] to the great conversation.

But really everyone only needs to know the language of Shakespeare or SeQpIr in the original Klingon.

All other languages are just a collection of grunts and moans and should not be encouraged.
