Good Doctor
Before we go on let me make it perfectly clear that I have been in isolation now for 3.5 weeks, because I feel as a good civilian I am going to be as co-operative and do as much as I can do to flatten the curve
This is what I struggle with...today we were told that Ontario has that there are 3,200 people in Ontario that have been tested positive with Covid-19 ...as of today 67 have died..of which of the 67 they said 70% were unfortunately in an old age home 67....2 % of the people have died....Today we were told that if because we are isolating 80,000 people out of 13 million people are going to get the virus and again 2% will die 1,600 ….and if we did absolutely nothing about it over the next 18 months 100,000 people will die...That means 1 person in 100 people will die doing absolutely nothing
I hate to sound like a horrible person, but in Canada 80,000 die of cancer per year...53,000 die of heart decease a year...13,500 people die of car accidents a year and 8,500 people die of the common flu a year....Total of 155,000 people a year, so say 40% are from Ontario 62,000 compared to 100,000/18 months=5,500 per month x 12=66,000 per year
We have totally crippled our economy....there must of been a better way of doing this....with doing nothing, which I am not saying do nothing...but 1 in 130 people will die
I am all in for saving lives and we certainly need to protect our people our elders and our high risk people, I am just having a hard time wrapping my head around all this
Just my two cents
