I have to laugh at all the guys who say they aren't going to jerk off until the pandemic ends.

And this is going to be you after a minutes or less with the first SP you get together with.

If possible, stay off the advil for now. Take naproxen (aleve) or tylenol if you can. Ibruprofen (stays in the bloodstream for a considerable amount of time) makes covid-19 a fuck of a lot worse if you catch it.

I was hobbling this morning when I got out of bed, took a couple of Advil Gel Caps, I feel better.

Monthy Python had a stuffed goose and a swivel table just after a minute passed. Your mind wanders in quarantine...I was watching Good Eats while listening to Frank Zappa.

This is the reason why we cant effecitlvy win against this virus... people with flawed (you may call it STUPID) mentality. Comparing HIV to COVID is something new to me.... Yes they are both viruses. That doesn't mean anything... they are completely different particuarly on the way they transmit. Its very hard to get HIV from a BBBJ, almost impossible actually.. Its VERY easy to get COVID. by just talking to someone. Also you fail to understand that someone can have the virus and not know it and spread it.

You make it sound like the medical community has some sort of conspiracy theory to make everyone believe something. As someone who is in that community it makes my blood boil that we here busting our ass, at great personal risk, trying to fix this mess and there are people who beleive some conspiracy theory shit that doesent even make sense. What the motive? You think doctors are getting paid to tell people to stay home. You should visit an ICU one day and see what really goes on maybe that will wake you up. Ventilators dont always work but when someone is in lung failure from COVID its the only chance so if everyone is stupid like you and ignores the warnings and gets the virus at the same time we have no respiratory support so we have to see people literally suffocate form water in their lungs. Have you ever seen that? I have... I can tell you its not fun. The only treatment that works for COVID is social isolation. And it works VERY well if people actually follow it. But reading comments like this it makes me loose hope. Ironic part is people that dont listen to recommendations are the ones higher likelihood to get it, so if they come to hospital and are in ARDS they will take the much needed vent prior to the many people they infected getting sick.
Good doc what's your opinion on hooking up with someone who has been off work for the past two weeks & self isolating? I'm still working practising social distancing as best I can but I can't resist some of the sext's she sends me! We hooked up at Christmas for a week or so & had a great time & she swares she hasn't been with a guy in over a month & I've been celibate for almost the same. We laid out some ground rules no kissing, no oral ! I'm a bit of a germaphobe & she said you can wear a paper bag over your head, just come over for hh get naked let me abuse you & then f off! Who am I to argue

You ask a very good question. A question I struggle with my self lol.

The thing is if you have sex with someone then you essentially are absorbing all their risks of exposure and vice versa. in the eye of the population/public health you’re increasing risks. Having said that if that if you isolate with that person completely and are quarantine together then the only risk is that to you. But do you trust this person ? At these times I don’t trust anyone by my self to maintain best practices (hand washing etc ). The way I like to think of it is if you have sex with someone you better be okay living with them for two weeks cause that should be the only exception. A friend of mine is an ED doc and we have dated on and off in the past and we actually had this convo with each other as she had to come over one night (she is not handling the stress well :/ ) Conclusion was we ain’t gonna risk it eventhough her staying at my place essentially made me exposed anyways lol but I accept the risk and vice versa she really needed to come and vent. The difference between us is that while we have exposure at work we both have access to tests and have gotten them in the past already.

Before we go on let me make it perfectly clear that I have been in isolation now for 3.5 weeks, because I feel as a good civilian I am going to be as co-operative and do as much as I can do to flatten the curve

This is what I struggle with...today we were told that Ontario has that there are 3,200 people in Ontario that have been tested positive with Covid-19 ...as of today 67 have died..of which of the 67 they said 70% were unfortunately in an old age home 67....2 % of the people have died....Today we were told that if because we are isolating 80,000 people out of 13 million people are going to get the virus and again 2% will die 1,600 ….and if we did absolutely nothing about it over the next 18 months 100,000 people will die...That means 1 person in 100 people will die doing absolutely nothing
I hate to sound like a horrible person, but in Canada 80,000 die of cancer per year...53,000 die of heart decease a year...13,500 people die of car accidents a year and 8,500 people die of the common flu a year....Total of 155,000 people a year, so say 40% are from Ontario 62,000 compared to 100,000/18 months=5,500 per month x 12=66,000 per year

We have totally crippled our economy....there must of been a better way of doing this....with doing nothing, which I am not saying do nothing...but 1 in 130 people will die

I am all in for saving lives and we certainly need to protect our people our elders and our high risk people, I am just having a hard time wrapping my head around all this

Just my two cents

It is a valid opinion. There is an economic cost to all this. I haven’t verified your numbers but the point remains that yes the only treatment of this virus which is social isolation has immense costs and some may argue that the treatment is worst than the disease.

Most would argue otherwise. If we completely ignore it and let’s take the number you cited of 1% of the population dying the impact of that is beyond to that of those that died. The medical system will be overrun and basic care will be ignored. More people will be dying from other things like sepsis cancer etc because hospitals are overrun. We are not simply designed to deal with this volume all at once. The economy can’t function when people are sick and dying at this volume, every one of those that dies has a friend and family who are impacted. To me the cost is simply too much and everything must be done even if it comes at the cost of the economy. The economy is there to serve the population not the other way around . These will all be avoidable deaths it’s not like cancer(for the most part ) ... even with all that said some people may have different values and say they are willing to risk 1% chance of death for better economy but you can’t enforce those opinions on others when the cost to them might be their life or the life of loved ones.

I think no matter where you’re opinion is in all this we need to act as a population otherwise there is no point. If the plan is to tackle this thing head on with social isolation let’s all do our part to hopefully get over the curve ASAP.

Why? I am not prepared to just accept assertions like these blindly. Back it up with stats.

The only way a risk occurs is if one party has the virus, either the client or the SP. There has always been a risk of HIV transmission from the hobby. The V in HIV stands for virus. How many of us have has BBBJ's? So why is Corona virus worse?

Maybe you guys would be well served to start challenging some of the things the medical community is wanting everyone to believe. For instance, this flatten the curve bullshit. The ER has no medication to help with Corona. So if tons of people present in he ER with respiratory distress, and they need ventilators, is a ventilator going to bring that person back from the brink? Where are the stats to show ventilators make all the difference? Presumably most of the deaths were people already on ventilators.

For the record though, I haven't hobbied in about 2 months. I had an appointment on the day TP shut down their operations with someone who had been on my To Do List, so that aborted appointment by TP really hurt, but nevertheless.
Shirley, you're not serious? This is how this shit spreads like wildfire. One ass-clown who doesn't even know he has it passes it on to 5 or 10 others, they each pass it on to 5 or 10 others and so on. Have you ever seen anything spread so rapidly? The last time I hobbied was Feb. 14. I'm not even sure if there were any confirmed cases of this in North America at the time and look at where we are seven weeks later.

I'm prepared to wait as long as it takes, even if it's a year (hopefully not that long). What fun would it be seeing a lady and being nervous as hell with all this hanging over your head? Fuck that. The Internet will hold me over. And I'm banking money I'd normally spend on this and other things (bars, restaurants, etc.) in the process.

I think you are using the term "much lower" a little loosely here. People of all ages are dying. Stop being a twat.
Look at the numbers Ontario has been publishing for an example most are elderly. Can’t compare our health care system to that of Spain or Italy either. Their reaction time was also very slow.

At the same time It will be months before they can properly analyze the data too.

I don't think that word is in the Scrabble dictionary. I've tried it and it gets rejected.
Wonder what other words we can post on terb that are not in the dictionary...I only hope her $50 SW GFM donation was returned

Save your breath. If these asswipes don't get it by now, they never will.
