I'm with GiGi. You already know the rate. Wanna negociate? It's for you to make your offer. But I've got a living to make and my face time is my work time. I'm not prepared to waste it because someone else's is free.
As I've said before, they already know what the rate is, if they want to negociate, it's for them to make their counter-offer, and see how attractive it is to her, and to make it early in the very first phone call. Otherwise they're just being what she called them. Or did I just think that rude word myself?
Then you aren't with Gigi, because she said that the negotiation offends her in the first place. I'm not saying she needs to negotiate her rates. I'm just saying she doesn't need to take it personally that someone makes an offer. They aren't personally insulting her, calling her ugly or saying they don't think she'll be a good piece of ass. They are doing it because they want to pay less, plain and simple as that.

The guys I first worked for in Toronto, in the very insecure and uncertain business of exhibits and displays had a phrase that came up one way or another whenever a client complained their rate was too high. Simply put, "You're right, we do charge Cadillac prices, but that's because we deliver Cadillac service and quality." When they put on their mentoring hats they cautioned me never to supply the unspoken follow-up sentence. If the client couldn't figure it out themselves, relations would be even worse if we pointed it out. The cheap ones found other exhibit companies.
Not to make too fine a point of it. But if you're 100% full up busy, Sat and Sunday included, why discount? The thought of more business is worthwhile, because it reduces the need for expensive sales time.....

But...as I wrote, do what you like, say no. I prefer to say yes, and see what we can negotiate. I have multi-million $, multi year, projects, due to the small investment (loss) of a few hours years ago.
|Seems worth while to me.

I doubt I will be tagged as a bitch im a very nice person just struggling to wrap my head around this concept. I have several reviews ALL of them are positive with happy satisfied men, I do however find it disheartening that regardless my great reviews (thanks to all who have posted them I am very happy I have made you a happy camper) and my attractive looks I still get LOWBLLERS who ask for 60 half hours (as an example), I don't personally feel 120 is an above average price and I don't loose business rejecting the ones who ask for a discount which is why I'm comfortable doing so BUT it does feel like a blow to the face when a man regardless the reviews or pictures asks for such an extremely low price, almost as if saying 'I don't think your worth full price plz discount for me'

I can understand asking for a bargain price for general labour, however I do feel its your way of saying... Nah I don't think your worth that I think your worth this.....
Ouch![/QUOTE]

Simple solution. If a lowballer asked for $60 hh just ask them "would you have sex with a strange man for $60 in half an hour?" When he says "no" then just say "well Im not willing to either" and leave it at that. If he says he would then just hang up....you dont need the freaks money. Life is only as complicated as you make it.....

This is a very interesting thread.

Like most people said, don't take it personally. At the end of the day, being in the adult industry is not a walk in the park. It’s a choice we've made and one must grow a very thick skin (and quickly) to survive.

However, I don't know if it just the industry or the attitude of this city. I work on the basis that I am strictly by appointment only. If I gave in to every one who begged me to do things that are strictly off limits and tried to negotiate my tribute or booking procedures I would have rushed off my feet with not a moment to spare. But my safety is paramount to me – and so is my protocol as a Dominatrix so I refuse to see anyone who isn't willing to pay a deposit or provide a verifiable reference.

What I have is complete control over the quality of the client I see and I have to say that I have had fantastic sessions with everyone I have seen in Toronto (and I have done very well for my first time in this city).

I refuse to see anyone who is disrespectful - and that especially pertains to those who ask for a discount - as I am in complete control of my business.

I find those who ask for discounts tend to be rude, disrespectful and not the type of client I want to see. And like your analogy of someone who shops at Winner’s with Gucci expectations, yes they are the first ones to rip the SPs to shreds when they didn’t get the level of service for what they paid.

So Gigistarr, my question to you is would you rather make more money and compromise what you think you're worth? Or would you rather stick to your guns and be more selective about your clientele?

All the best,

Lady Bellatrix

With all due respect. Being in ANY industry at the top of one's game, is not a walk in the park. We all work hard..and guess what? The money I earn has been worked for just as hard as yours. We, are not so different.

I find it odd, that people suggest otherwise.

You run your business your own way. I understand that, but a smart mentor once told me when you say 'No' you close a door. When you say 'What do you propose?'...you open the door.

Agreed.

A very wise mentor of mine once said, "I'll tell you the secret to success in [our industry]. Don't get greedy" (I'm serious about that and I often think about that.)

Rates are negotiable. Also, we always try to go above and beyond what our clients expect in termos of service to keep them happy.

To the ladies...something for you to ponder.
Some of us men work hard for our money. Our hourly wages is not equivilent to yours. Some of us men have more expenses then you ladies(child support, alimoney, mortgages, education fund, hefty taxes). So certain times of the month, some men are tight with funds. So if they are negotiating, its for a reason. They're not doing it to insult your Worth.

I've noticed over the years those guys that attempt to haggle with ladies to lower their price are either cheap or don't have that much money to be in this hobby so they try to stretch their dollar as far as they can. It never ceases to amaze me that a guy would try to negotiate a $20 discount when a lady's regular price is $250, the guy thinks that's a really big score saving $20, lmao. I've never once asked a lady to reduce her price, it is what it is, including those ladies who charge upwards of $1,000 per hour in New York. If I can't afford a lady, I move on. Personally I find it embarrassing for me and disrespectful towards the lady by questioning her value of offering you her most intimate service.

Well I then suggest you don't hobby if you can't afford it. I don't think the ladies care less if you have all those expenses, they also have expenses as well, if you can't play in her sandbox, play somewhere else.

Also, you can't compare your hourly wage to the ladies in this business,,,,,you get paid every hour in a working day, a lady does not get every hour, there are many gaps in between, some ladies work less than others, it's the average monthly income that is a better measure to compare.

Nobody ever went broke from delivering more than the customer expected.

If you don't want to date cheap guys, I get it. That's your self worth, if you measure as such.

Business: Repeat business is the best. My understanding is that the vetting of customers is the least pleasing part of the business.

So why not offer a break, for the chance of a repeat? Or better....why not extend the time....for the cost of the hour?

This is how the big-boy world works. I'm not sure why it's disrespectful at all.

Thanks for your comments. I agree it takes a lot of time and effort in any industry to rise to the top (and hopefully stay there).

But what I specialise in is Femdom where woman are superior. If that isn't your thing, that's fine and I wouldn't try to persuade anyone who didn't have an inkling for it. But for those who are into the Female Supremacy (which is a genre to its own), it is all part of the experience. Strictly out of principle it is not in my best interests to negotiate anything. I wouldn't be a true Dominatrix if I did.

Lolathelovely advertises here and uses this excellent line:

"Discounts are not available. The price is the same for everyone".

I wanted to mention as well I understand when a SP says 120 but offers nothing (dfk digits daty) the want for a discount, my services are completely open (minus 2 things) which I suppose is also why I find it a smack...

BUT. Noted. I see both sides... I will however keep my rate fixed... Sorry bargain hunters.

Ps Im found on backpage.

I would consider myself a great negotiator/haggler but NOT when it comes to a lady's services. I think it is in poor taste and more importantly a mood killer for me and presumably the lady in question. Some things in life you either pay the asking price or move on....again simple.

Fortunately, have not had this experience from this site. What I have been asked several times though (grrrrr) is to barter or reduce prices for favorable reviews!

I don't hobby in Canada........i pick up chix in bars and create fuck buddies.
I hobby in Cuba......$600 all inclusive vacations for a week. I take $200 for spending money and that gets me laid with 7 different girls that week using my cuban friends home to do the banging. I do this 3 times a year.
Most Canadian sp's are not worth my hard earned dollars. With the exception of maybe a few.

That's cool and I think that's a great strategy to get your fix. Nothing wrong with that.
