Just wanted to know, for those of you who trim, not shave, how much do you leave on top?

I'm currently just trimming it short. 5mm long on average. Should i go shorter?

A. I'm too old, and it would just look silly.

B. My wife would be quite surprised, and would certainly suspect it wasn't being done for her.

First shave with the grain then across the grain. Never shave against the grain. Never had a nick or cut.
