If it means I can watch the CL match I want then it's worth it. Ugly game between Italy and Bulgaria, most of these players should have played against England. On Tuesday they face a real pressure cooker against Malta. Lots of technical glitches...so I switched to Maria Sharapova.

Turn up the volume!

CL Preview: Chelsea vs Juventus

Not the easiest way for the defending champions to begin their campaign. They will be at home and Juventus hasn't been in the CL for over half a decade. Chelsea must win the match, getting maximum points @ Juve Stadium will be an ordeal.

Final score: Chelsea 1 Juventus 0

The great (late) Welshman John Charles was the first player to leave the UK for Europe when the UK maximum wage was twenty pounds per week. He joined Juventus and became a legend in Italy, just as he was in the UK. One of the greatest soccer players ever.

Well here's a kick in the wallet.

I haven't had to worry about Qatar's football power play since RAI owns the global rights to all Italian domestic matches. However RAI doesn't have the right of refusal to international matches, therefore I'm going to have to fork out more cash to Rogers if I want to watch Italy vs Bulgaria. I'm making to watch both Italy and Canada today but it appears it's going to pay for the priveledge
You know you can watch soccer streams for free on internet, dont you??

You're right.

But it looks like kaka when I rout it to the big screen. I can afford it and I'm enjoying the rugby coverage. Now I can watch the Six Nations Cup and support The Azzurri in their Quest for the Wooden Spoon. Yipee!!!

Chelsea 2 Juve 2...better than I expected.

Happy 34th birthday Andrea Pirlo, the Blues were so obsessed with shutting you down that Marchisio and Vidal had freedom to roam. The former needs a transfusion of your cold blood. Seba Giovinco and Eden Hazard are great talents but too easily moved off the ball. Leo Bonucci should have seen red for going Bobby Clarke on Oscar.

Wonderful match.

No argument here.

For those saying that Serie A is bereft of talent, think again. Juve made all their summer transfers from within the league. And Lorenzo Insigne (Napoli) is as good if not better than Oscar.

Man of the match: Paul Pogba

Does Manchester United have a glut of play-makers, why did they sell this guy? After getting a rough ride at Stamford Bridge, Pirlo was given an off day with Pogba taking his place. After adjusting in the first half he controlled the match in the second. Man U and Juve may eventually meet prior to the CL Final and you can never have enough play-makers. Has Sir Alex made a major mistake?

What about the mockery that happened in Cagliari. They've built a new stadium but it wasn't ready for the start of the season, no security apparatus is in place. The FIGC ruled that the Cagliari-Roma match had to be played behind closed doors. Club owner Massimo Cellino went against orders and started selling tickets. Fearing a potential Hillsborough the FIGC cancelled the match and gave Roma the three points.

I love calcio but sometimes I can't help but shake my head in despair.

from what I understand the Cagliari owner told fans to come down but no tickets were actually sold, seeing the level of nut jobs still running around in Italian football this had Hillsborough written all over it. On a side note Man Utd were gifted that penalty and those 3 points, I am still a believer in the Brendan Rodgers project, given time and patience he will do great things with Liverpool.

Chelsea need to sign a world class striker if they're gonna contend for the EPL title.

Torres isnt gonna cut it on his own

How's Fabio Borini making out an Anfield?

Certainly food for thought, the new turf at San Siro has been developed in Italy and Qatar is looking at it for their World Cup. The Milan clubs no longer have turf advantage at home, to win they must play a more up tempo match. So far they've not been able to adjust, if Milan does progress to the knockout stage and meet Barcelona they are going to get whomped.

Dempsey should have buried his chances against Lazio. He's not going to get the opportunity at the Olimpico.

If John Terry quit the England international team in an attempt to blackmail the FA, well he failed. He has been found guilty of racially abusing Anton Ferdinand, banned for 4 matches and fined a whopping 220,000 pounds. Massive.
So happy, really dislike this guy. Also, why not eight games similar to Suarez, actually should have been more considering he was the English captain and can't blame language issues like Suarez.

Arsenal to throttle Chelsea on Saturday!

And I know it's been mentioned above about games being streamed online, but I can't watch like that. Where am I going with this? Well it's a shame there is no longer any Serie A, La Liga, or Ligue 1 coverage on TV. EPL is what I watch the most, but it's being rammed down our throats. I can catch the odd Bundesliga game, but that will probably disappear next season. Don't know why that company (name escapes me) would buy the rights to Serie A and La Liga but can't broadcast it. Seems dumb, no wait it is dumb.
