And I suspect the opinion of us high brow Torontonians does not jive with the majority of the Canadian population which proves that the world does not revolve around Toronto.

Whenever they replace him they'll probably get somebody slick, savvy and politically correct. He'll offend no one but bore us in no time.

Don Cherry's shit is old and tired. I enjoyed him up until a couple of years ago and now it just seems to be the same crap every Saturday night, Different suit, same crap!

No doubt. They are so scared of what Don might say and they have berated him for his views, then put him on tape delay so that can censor him of needed.

I like Don, he knows hockey still. His views and persona are old and tired to some, but the man still knows hockey and hockey players.

People love this guy. Watch him walk into a rink in Mississauga or Markham or Burlington to watch a AAA rep game. He is crushed with admirers and well wishers.

I must admit that I both love and hate Don Cherry . He knows hockey and has paid his dues. I feel both pride and embarrassment about him being a Canadian icon. I like his love of Canada and his cocky style, but his love of war and violence and his hatred of "commie pinkos" is a little off-putting.
Never miss Coaches Corner though but sometimes switch it off when he goes on about the troops. Is he trying to program a new generation of cannon fodder willing to die for the greed of our corporate masters? Harper loves the guy!

That clown has done more to hurt hockey than any other person. He failed as a player, he failed as a coach and he failed as a Jr A owner and manager. The only thing he's succeeded at is turning a great game into an arena for goons and thugs. And yet there are 10s of 1000s of morons who think the jerk actually knows what he's talking about. Notice he is rarely on a panel with hockey experts who would shoot him down in a minute instead of taking his nonsense like his lapdog on Coach's Corner. The fact that he was in the running for the greatest Canadian of all time is a stain on our nation's history. Could Howard Cossell or Don Meredith be mentioned in the ame breath as the greatest Americans of all time? What a joke.

He know way more about hockey then a lot of the morons running the NHL, Bettman for one.
His style is a whole hell of a lot better then watch a bunch of prima donnas floating around the ice ... which is what you would perfer is appears.
It also looks like YOU are in the minority.
