A quote out of context from a publication entitled: 'Medical Hypotheses'? Sincerely, Jon .
LMFAO - more facts than you've provided on your 'cause of aids.'

acutus you're a troll. Nothing more. Incapable of intelligent discussion.

You are either ignorant of the facts, or you deliberately ignore the ones that don't fit your personal agenda of propoganda.

Here's a real laugh. I'm incapable of intelligent discussion, huh? I'm ignorant of the facts? I ignore facts that don't fit MY personal agenda of propoganda? Thank you Mr. Moderator for highlighting so succinctly the concern raised by Mr. Moviefan in his original question. Sincerely, Jon .

WOW, thanks Moderator for your eye opening expose of the man we all love, Acutus. AKA butthead.

He is more than a nuisance, troll or ignorant dinosaur. He's a cist, a disease and instigator. Never has he provided links for his arguements but demands quotes and citations from ones who he argues with.

No medical journal, publication, research or by gosh a "hypothesis" will ever change his way of thinking. He's like sludge. No matter what, it stays the same.

Acutus, with all your hot air and your supposed knowledge of every aspect of life, how do you live in this much inferior world called Earth? It must be unbearable to live amongst humans who can't debate at the level you do. I mean, we have to use citatios, when all you have to do is tell us you're right. By golly, you must be a tortured soul.

Yes I'll stoop low for this one. Acutus, you're, as been told by many many posters, an idiot.

I have not used personal invective or insult in my replies to others, Mr. Ruck, which is more then you and many others here can say. Sincerely, Jon .

No, instead you use unctious over-politeness as a tool to irritate.

Probably true, unless you include insulting our sensibilities.

Hey, look at it this way.

Gay guys are generally pretty hot.

If they weren't gay, it WILL be impossible for us to pick up chicks, as if that's not hard enough as it is now.

Let them join the military too.

Kind of an extreme asessment. Not contagious, is he?

And I never claimed you did. Trolling is more than just calling names. Instigating is more involved than just pushing or name calling.

You have also not used quotes, citations, publications or thesis to provide ample proof of your own ideology. It is simple personal thought you hold as truth. You are trying to infect others minds with garbage from your own.

I may name call but I do not pass judgement. It's a fine line but somebody has to walk it. LOL

And no asterix, it is not contagious. LOL

I thought you may have been busy checking the CDC web site to verify the first known case of AIDS, Mr. Asterix. Sincerely, Jon .
I have been aware of the information on the CDC website regarding the first diagnosed case of AIDS for years, Mr. acutus, and was first aware many years ago after reading the book, "And the Band Played On". Epidemics are like a fire, and in dealing with a retro virus like HIV developing into AIDS, a very slow burning fire. Tracing the source is not so simple as recognizing for the first time one day where the fire may have have shown up.

While I normally wouldn't enter any sort of discussion fueled by hellbent devil's advocacy, I do read through some of these threads. It is evident to me, Acutus, that you blindly accuse others of "conjecture". Somehow I doubt there are any geneticists or AIDS researchers in our midst here on terb, so we must rely on the published medical evidence to form our own layman opinions -- although there seem to be many variant takes on the origins of the disease. I had never read the posted hypothesis concerning SIV and African Pan Troglodytes, and I found it startling and fascinating.

But does it really matter which manner of transmission of AIDS is most prevalent -- even if you are correct (which it appears you are not) that homosexuality inherently causes aids (but, in your infinite wisdom, that heterosexual transmission of the virus is "beside the point")? Shortage of birth control in the developing world, sharing of needles in the drug underculture, and unprotected sex even in the West causes the spreading of AIDS....and the bottom line is that all inflicted with it will perish from this Earth after living through a precarious agony -- perhaps prolonged with protease inhibitors or other medications that may or may not ease their pain (or may magnify their suffering).

While "personal invective" in response to anyone may not be appropriate in most circumstances, it most certainly does apply to your despicable ignorance. You are an anonymous scourge, Acutus. People akin to your backward thinking deserve to be ignored. Focus your supposedly competent intellectual strengths in supporting agencies lobbying for a development of a cure to this ailment rather than pointing fingers. Tsk Tsk.....shame on you.

SINCERELY, MrO.

By the way that is very annoying - but that just adds to your unique proficiency to illicit marginalized retaliation to flatter your flaunted, egotistical "centre of attention" psychosis.
I do not 'blindly accuse others' of conjecture, Mr. Mrorange. I've looked at many, many of the several web sites devoted to espousing a point of view regarding the original cause/source of AIDS. What I found is that what these sites offer is not scientific fact but rather theory and hypothesis. Many of these same sites also state that the first known case of AIDS was discovered in Homosexual men in 1981 in New York City and or San Francisco(City)and that correlates with what the CDC(Center for Disease Control)also states as fact- not theory or hypothesis. Yes, it does matter to me and many other like minded people the manner in which the transmission of AIDS is most prevalent. That you and others here feel that personal insult is appropriate when discussing an issue with an individual who does not share your point of view reveals something important about the strength of your(and their)position. You, as are others here are welcome to ignore me, but you have chosen not to with your reply and instead have attempted to merely insult me. What you call 'backward thinking' in relation to my point of view on this issue is in reality having respect for the Truth. Sincerely, Jon .

Lewis blames straight men for spread of disease

"Lewis admitted that in the battle against AIDS, the factor that makes him feel "most helpless and most enraged" is the inequality of women and how that puts them at high risk of becoming infected through rape or by partners who refuse to practise safe sex." CP

Where a virus first shows itself is a critically important factor in any attempts to understand it, Mr. Asterix. Interesting that you only now mention that you were aware of the information on the CDC web site regarding the first known cases of AIDS. Sincerely, Jon .

MrO
I'm happy to respond to any reasonable post, Mr. Mrorange. Mr. Svend's post, that he feels he has to repeat, is not worth a serious reply... like the posters who only offer personal insult as rebuttal. Sincerely, Jon .
