Since I'm not a Leafs fan and far from a Sens hater, but instead a neutral hockey realist, I am being objective. You're the one acting like a homer and Leafs hater.
I was terribly disappointed with the Sens lack of heart and expected a lot more out of that team. Too bad you're so blinded by your love of a flawed team and your hatred for all things Blue and White that you can't see the difference and set your expectations so low...
The Rangers are having a difficult time with this same young PENS team...and while I do have SENS season tickets (bought them last year when the FLYERS weren't going to make a playoff appearance...because I love hockey) I'm not so JADED that I wouldn't admit that they sucked.
I've been a FLYER season ticket holder for 17 years...
RANGERS are down 2-0 so I guess by your standard...if they lose the next two, they should feel embarrissed for making the playoffs...
MONTREAL has not had a lead in the series agaisnt the FLYERS (except for the final shot in OT of game one) but that doesn't mean that they haven't shown up to play...
and I don't hate the Blue and White...I just don't feel there STARS enaled them to do what the FLYERS did in the offseason because they would't wave their no trade clauses...if they had MAYBE the LEAFS new management could have engineered a quick turnaround for some of the most loyal fans in hockey. NOW it will take a lot more time to turn this around because they couldn't pick up a Coburn, Timonen, Hartnell, Upshall, Parent, Biron using the value of UFA's that agreed to wave their no trade clauses.
Were the SENS good in the Playoffs...obviously no...but how good would any team be missing three key players?
I know the FLYERS lost 10 straight games this season when they had a rash of injuries.
I was in Ottawa for their two home games...there was effort in those games...they were simply beaten by a better team...that happens in hockey.
