What are you trying to tell me ? I know of many commercial sites that take a long time to load.
How many commercial web sites bring up a blank/ cloudfare/ third party (unrelated) screen and shows you a timer as it's doing it's security check before showing you the web site you are trying to see ? I just got a distributor request from Turkey this morning and as I checked the company through their web site I was met by their front page not an unrelated page holding up my viewing. Maybe the information flows slowly but no information is flowing when I'm held up with some unrelated page on my screen. That is what I'm trying to tell you.

It is a moot point since there has been no problem now. Since the lion's share of the information I see from Terb is text, I'm not sure if I will notice any speed changes when I'm viewing.

To what extent is an ISP watching traffic, what type of traffic and why, and is there any provenance to support this? I thought a court order was required to hand over information. If this is so, not sure myself, then they are no different to anyone else when faced with a court order.
Blackmailers, jealous spouses, nosy coworkers, hackers, etc, don't usually apply for court orders. You continue to miss the point that the largest risks of a privacy beach are unrelated to c36. Keeping our identities secret was an overriding concern for most of us long before Stephen Harper was even elected PM.

It is weird and unusual, but if they fix the issue of some people being repeatedly prompted to enter a captcha I don't see what the big deal is.

No issues now. Just responding to a question. Life is back to normal in Terb. To quote the cops in the movie .. 'it's all over folks ... just move along.'

I do feel entitled to ask that sites I use that carry sensitive data adopt very basic, industry standard security practices to protect me. I feel VERY entitled to ask for that. Most of us would suffer far more personal and financial harm from the contents of our terb accounts being made public than from our banking session being compromised by a hacker.

In my view it is simply crazy to call that wrongful entitlement. Lunacy.
You can ask and/or voice your opinion but if Terb doesn't respond or give an answer that makes you feel uncomfortable or don't like, you can simply say Terb is not for me and quit the board. This is a private board that you choose to join, no one put a gun to your head to join. So if you don't like the security on Terb and are worried about security breaches, leaving the board is the best option if Terb doesn't provide what you're looking for.

I have got to agree/ Extremely unprofessional and awfully lame. When it first happened to me I was very hesitant to enter the number. I assumed the site was hacked and I was being taken to some kind of phishing site. You have to wonder how many people get that screen and never come back.

I still get the captcha on my mobile phone, maybe it is only working on desktop browsers? Anyone else share their experience, and mention what browser and platform?
No change on OSX FireFox - I get the Captcha each and every time, no exceptions.

It works a bit funky but probably put in place cause they were attacked earlier. I guess better a 5 sec delay than a week long outage.

I am using Firefox as well and logging in right after the Captcha thing without any delay.

Also, this is off topic but I really can't stand the videos in the signatures.

Is no one still getting this but me? Nothing has changed from Day 1 - i still get CAPTCHA on ever login, and everytime I am idle for more than a few minutes.

Is there a magic step that I'm missing?

Thanks - KK

I get it constantly on my mobile device, but not on my laptop. I think it may have something to do with having a dynamic IP on mobile devices.

I get exactly the same thing...even having captcha pop up when logging out.

Nope still happening for me too. Doesn't look like the forum owners care either.

Never ever got the Captcha on my MacBook w/ Safari, though I did get the 'Checking yr browser' splash-screen for a few days. Nothing but straightforward logins for quite awhile now.

Time for a poll of the frustrated to get some real numbers by browser name?
