Steve Cropper's "Tele through a Harvard tone" unmistakable, especially in the intro guitar figure...

i wasnt familiar with Lyn Collins .so i went to You Tube and found the song....and yes as it happens i have heard this song before on Sirius Soul Town.....solid tune
Lyn was known as the female preacher. Part of James Brown's gang. This is one of my other favorites from her.

The Crusaders version I've heard several times, may have even posted it. But this remake is the jam. That bassline is smooth

so this morning i,m making a quick grocery run and heard a song on Sirious radio 60,s on 6 by Chubby Checker called Pony Time....and of course it reminded me of the original done by a Soul Singer named Don Covay............its an upbeat , fun and cheerful tune that all you grampas might know....but anyone can enjoy this song...............i think ...

I've heard this song but haven't heard the Chubby Checker remake of it. My favorite part is when the guitar kicks in near the end.
