Not only is he not a hero but there is an inquiry into the country's handling of the Coronavirus
Wrong!! He's a hero to many who's businesses didnt go bankrupt, or to people who didnt lose their jobs.
And they can do all the enquiries they want, it wont make an iota of difference

When I met Tegnell, 64, in the capital Stockholm, he was praised as if he was Abba’s fifth member.

T-shirts proclaiming – like the Carlsberg advertisements – “Tegnell, possibly the best state epidemiologist in the world” are bestsellers.

Because it seems his decision not to lock may have paid off
And also:

While the UK economy shrank 20% in the first three months of the lockdown, Sweden’s only shrank by nine

And also:
It makes all the difference to the Swede's who unnecessarily lost family members. Amazing that you're ignorance still has you comparing Sweden to other countries while purposely avoiding comparing them with their Nordic border neighbours who they have more commonality with.
Sweden's economy shrank just the same as their neigbhours Denmark and Norway and it's prediction by the Swedish government itself is that it will be the same as Denmark and Norway in the 3rd quarter.
The unnecessary loss of life is the only difference.

Like I said before, most Swedes who died were old people in retirement homes.
They were most likely gonna kick the bucket soon anyways

"If "died soon" meant in even as little as 6 months on average, 18,000 deaths works out to 9,000 years of life that C-19 took from Canadians. And you try to dismiss that as nothing in your mind & heart?"

Project that over the million officially dead from C-19 already & it's 500,000 years of human life you're dismissing as it "doesn't mean much".

Without safety measures C-19 may have easily killed 10 million already. That would mean about 5 million years of human life that "doesn't mean much" to you.

Furthermore:

"I was infected with coronavirus in March, six months on I’m still unwell

Charlie Russell, 27, is one of an estimated 600,000 people with post-Covid illness, a condition that may give an insight into ME

Unfortunately you can not read, comprehend and retain the information you read. The last time you repeated this I explained the following to you.

Sweden has one of the lowest percentages of deaths amongst LTCH's than most other developed countries who experienced a significant number of deaths from COVID.
Most countries have 70%-90% and some have up to 95% of COVID-19 deaths associated with LTCH's meanwhile in Sweden the numbers of deaths from COVID-19 in LTCH's is roughly around 50% which represents a significant difference.

This fact alone should tell a rational and knowledgeable person that the measure of not shutting down non essential businesses, not mandating masks, and not mandating social distancing guidelines attributed to a significant increase in the number of cases outside of LTCH's meaning in general population and leading to a significantly higher number of unnecessary deaths amongst them. Showing the Swedish model was a failure.
Now read this slow so you can understand.
I've even included the articles as well as the actual sources of data in threads before so "Stable Genius" crowd can read and understand the numbers. But here you are repeating this again.

Thats because not all old people who died lived in retirement homes. Many probably still lived in their own homes.

Try again

Err, the man who came up with the herd immunity plan is being treated as a hero right now in Sweden: https://www.thesun.co.uk/news/12710...n-coronavirus-without-lockdown-national-hero/
Actually that is the same guy who denied his C-19 plan was aimed at "herd immunity", something which BTW in another thread you clearly didn't understand the meaning of. This is also the same guy who said in April that "herd immunity" might be only weeks away. But now, months later, it has clearly not yet arrived as Sweden now suffers another spike in cases.

That's not what the article says.

Unfortunately like I said you can't read, comprehend and retain the information you read nor what you write yourself. Only the irrational and ignorant are claiming the Swedish model as a success.
Your statement was and I quote "Most Swedes who died were old people in retirement homes" and that's why perspective was needed to show that Swedes had a far lower % of COVID-19 deaths attributed to LTCH's than the majority of the developed world. Proving the Swedish model was a failure since they had a higher % of deaths amongst those outside of LTCH's aka the general public.

But since you are talking about deaths outside of LTCH's here is more scientific data to put this into perspective of the failure in Sweden.

----------------------------------------Sweden-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Ontario
Measures------------------------No mandated shutdowns, masks, social distancing----------------------------Mandated all
Population-----------------------10.1Mln------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------14.7Mln
Deaths
Under20--------------------------2------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------1----
20-29------------------------------10----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------4----
30-39------------------------------19----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------7----
40-49------------------------------45----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------27--
50-59------------------------------166--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------95--
60-69------------------------------407--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------259--

As we can see with a smaller population in Sweden and no guidelines of masks, social distancing or non essential business shutdowns they had around 2X more unnecessary COVID-19 deaths outside of LTCH's than we do here in Ontario. This is not even considering how Swedes in general have a greater trust in government and they do what they are told to a significantly larger degree, specially for the greater good of the community which has a significant affect on these numbers.
These numbers in Sweden are even significantly worse when compared to their Nordic bordering neighbours Denmark, Norway and Finland, once again showing the Sweden model as a failure in comparison.

Like I've said before all of this scientific data is out there for people to read, and understand what it means rather than using other people's extremely uneducated anecdotal evidence.

All of this anger, and none of it directed where it really belongs.
The anger is pointed at folks who believe it is a hoax and are endangering other folks with common sense. The deniers I do not feel sorry for one bit if they come down with COVID its the innocent folks around them I feel bad for.

So fuck them? Just keep reinforcing the study showing a connection between rejection of health precautions and being a sociopath.

The virus is not the hoax

The response to the virus is the hoax
No sane person can possibly believe what the crazy left wing is trying to push through
Its a perfect storm of draconian laws to restrict your rights, antifa and others running wild, and overspending that would make the NDP blush and will add tens of thousands in debt to every living Canadian

Watch income tax sky rocket and an HST rate getting close to 10% in coming year

And lets be crystal clear on this
They did not prevent a single death
The virus still cleaned out the old and infirm and now is pretty much benign as millions worldwide test positive and get through it

Hey, watch Trump panic! Your boy is about to experience it first hand and if he croaks all you deniers will be in shock and awe! The nice part about COVID is that it does not discriminate and it's coming after the fools who believe they are invincible.
