So vaccines work do they?
Better than 1 in 3 (37%) Covid cases had BOTH doses of the vaccine (SinoPharm and AstraZeneca again)
WHO is investigating but looks like variants pass freely in community transmissions

its worrisome, in ontario we have almost half of Ontarians vaccinated and the cases are still very high.. With that many people vaccinated cases should be very low by now...

The Amigo collection of :poop:
Did you get your lethal shot?

Ask for the full 100% dose.

Its good for you. 😂

ID feel like a complete fuckhead after getting the shot and finding out its dangerous to your health! o_O

And dont ask questions. Its better than nothing. Dont worry about side effects even though the chances are high that you wouldnt have ever contracted covid in the first place?

Even if you did, 99.7% AT HOME recovery still plays through my head.

I was under the impression that the vaccines don’t necessarily stop you from getting Covid, they just reduce the likelihood of hospitalization and death. Am I right?
Death wise Seychelles is way above their historical averages
They have more deaths NOW after vaccination than they had before

28 total deaths
3 in past 7 days
17 of those after country was re-opened (vaccinations complete)

Their case counts and ICUs are also way above their avg for past year

That's exactly what the vaccines are doing. Anti vaxxers pretend it's supposed to be a cure that wipes covid away for good because it suits their nonsensical arguments. The vaccines are to prevent need for urgent medical attention so that healthcare systems are not overwhelmed.

Article goes on to say "no one who had died had been fully vaccinated and that nearly all of those needing treatment for severe or critical cases were unvaccinated."

They reduce the chances of getting COVID, they reduce the chance of it being severe if you do.
You know, like every other vaccine in the world.
This is, however, beyond the capability of some people to understand.

Why would you think that? You wouldn't really expect to see a major effect until past the 50% mark at least, and even then there would be a lag before it tipped over and hit exponential decay.

I got it and I feel fantastic and I'll be first in line if they offer me a second shot sooner than the 16 weeks. You can hang on to your little pecker in your basement while the rest of the world moves on after the 2nd dose and you antivaxxer morons lose privileges one by one.

I would bet many “anti vaxxers” have already gotten or will soon get their shots, but like to roleplay in anonymous forums like this.

This could also be that certain regions have a higher population than others so if say the GTA had a higher population compared to Niagara or Kingston, you would see that that GTA had 1538 cases today out of 2320 for all of Ontario or over half of the cases.
Using census data from 2016 (most recent I could find quickly).
KFLA population 204,116 first dose102,691 is about 50% but still 101,425 un vaccinated.
Niagara Regional Area Health Unit population 447,888 first dose 205,640 is about 46% but still 242248 unvaccinated.
City of Toronto Health Unit population 2,731,571 first dose1,489,583 is about 53% 1,241,988 unvaccinated.
