Man...I feel bad for the Oiler fans.

Hope they reveal what Draisaitl's injury status was. He was labouring out there.

The NHL playoffs are such a grind. Physically exhausting. Hardest team trophy to win in sports is the Stanley Cup.
Congrats to the Florida Panthers 👏 🙌, I don't think they will get another chance get to the finals agian , or maybe one more time with this group.

1 out of 2 but happy it was the Oilers who won. 11/14 for the play-offs!

The Panthers are playing very good hockey, are healthy, play with an edge (dirty...) and play tough. They hammered the Rangers and still have last years loss on their minds. Maurice also has them playing exceptional as a team.

On the other hand, the Oilers have been the best team in hockey since their dismal start. They have the best player in the game completely plugged in and beat two well balanced teams.

Keys to an Oiler win - Withstanding the physical play of the Panthers and not taking retaliatory penalties, continued success with special teams and consistent goal tending. They will also need to show they can score or Bobrovsky will get in to their heads. This is the time for McDavid to show the world that he is the best player in the game.

Keys to a Panther win - Continue with their physical style of play, stay out of the penalty box and Bobrovsky to do what he has done for the first three rounds. The one weakness of the Oilers is goal tending. If they can get to Skinner or Pickard, then their defense should shut down Edmonton.

I am hoping for a hard fought, fast paced 7 game series.

Leaning towards the Panthers, but would love to see the Oilers bring the cup back to Canada.
Ended with a 12/15 playoff series prediction record. Still would have loved it if the Oilers could have pulled it off.

Exciting play-offs all around and so many teams are just a player, a tweak, a special teams coach away from winning it all. Nice to see Maurice finally win a cup. McDavid showed the hockey world who he is and this will/should motivate him even more.

I would love to see the games scheduled closer together and maybe start the play-offs earlier. End of June is too long.

Too bad he tanked in the last 2 games.
I think that's what happens when you carry 19 other guys weighing over 200 lbs. on your back for so long. Oilers are a mediocre team without him, and that includes Leon.

GTA hockey is the best.

He certainly did more than his share. I wonder if Draisaitl was injured.

not always sure...
I wonder if Draisaitl was injured.
Draisaitl was playing with a broken rib and a broken finger since the second round against Vancouver.
McDavid is headed for surgery with an abdominal injury.
As was pointed out through the playoffs though, the surprise was that the Oilers played really well as group and "didn't have any passengers".
