If Leafs lose the Division lead to Winnipeg their consolation prize may be Edmonton first round.
I think Leafs would enjoy playing Edmonton rather than the Habs. The Oilers play the run and gun skill game the Leafs like, while the Habs will try to slow the Leafs down with tight checking.
That fourth goal was a dagger - I thought they came out of the gates in the 3rd poised to tie it. Just bad luck, should've started DR33, played well against Calgary the other night and deserved another shot. Lets take both from the Canucks now.
This looks advantageous for the Leafs. The Canucks should be easy pickings in the first few games as they regain their bearings.
This is a perfect setup for the Leafs to have 2 stinker games. TBH, I haven't been impressed with this team of late.
Oh man, the media will tear it up. Imagine Steve Simmonds? He would have a hard-on writing his next article. Remember this team lost to a Zamboni driver.
It's not a fair competition.
Three weeks laid up by an infection that attacks the lungs, four players still out and only a few practices to prepare. This is where the players get sacrificed for the television revenue.
The Leafs more ideal playoff matchup would be Edmonton anyway so they should put out their B squad.
