Truculence abounds.

When did Zach Bogosian become a Leaf? I figured the Lightning would have kept him.
Tampa Bay was dealing with an extreme cap crunch.
It just wasn't a feasible option.

I assumed that Bogosian is an Armenian name.
You're probably right, there was intermingling between the cultures during the Ottoman Empire. Armenian Jews mostly settled in Lebanon and Palestine. Most of what passes for Jewish cuisine today is Armenian influenced.

Actually, I did a search for Jewish NHL players and he did not show up. Surprisingly, it said the Jack and Quinn Hughes are.

I stand corrupted, good puck up for the Leafs. With the Raptors floundering, time for the Leafs to go deep in the playoffs. The defense has been fixed, Andersen no longer has an excuse. Although I'd rather see Ennio Sporcaccione as his back up than Hutchinson.

Another nice win. Solid game for Andersen. No softies.

i would be very surprised if vesey scores more than 5 goals this year. and simmonds 4. jmho. .
Vesey has 2 goals and Simmonds 3. With 47 games left, I bet you're wrong!

Wayne Simmonds is now -6 on a team that is 7 wins and 2 losses.
The Draisaltl 2nd goal was on him and he knew it.
Tried to chip the puck past the defenseman along the boards and failed.
A turnover if you will.

Holl is +4
Muzzin is +3
Hyman +3
are leaders in +/-
Simmonds was -3 in the Ottawa game, it's not like he's been shit every game...he's currently on a 3 game goal streak.

Leafs the only team with 7 wins. No team has 6.
Only 3 teams in the league have less than 2 losses and each of those 3 teams have played exactly 4 games.

I've been critical of Kyle Dubas in the past, I give him credit for fixing the defense. Once they know each other better, the Leafs will be tougher to play against late in the season.

Someone posted in Editor In Leaf that Toronto outhit Boston in both the last 2 playoffs series they had and lost both so I wanted to look it up.
Found from espn site https://www.espn.com/nhl/game/_/gameId/401126326 the 2019 playoff stats between these 2 teams and lo and behold indeed Toronto did outhit Boston. I'm not surprised because that's what I saw when I watched the games. Leafs did not get bounced around. For those who think the way to beat Leafs is to outhit them or finding some mysterious proof I really don't know where this comes from. Game 7 in fact Leafs outhit Boston 32 to 26 and they lost so it wasn't because they got bounced around.
Hit counts:
Game 1 Tor 33 Bos 31
Game 2 Tor 39 Bos 44
Game 3 Tor 42 Bos 33
Game 4 Tor 37 Bos 35
Game 5 Tor 26 Bos 29
Game 6 Tor 40 Bos 34
Game 7 Tor 32 Bos 26

Total
Toronto 249 hits
Bos 232 hits

Next to plus/minus, number of hits are practically meaningless especially used to gauge how tough a team is. This is where the fundamental flaw of analytics falls. Often these stats contradict what actually happens on ice. A Jake Gardiner’s excuse me kind of hit is in no way comparable to an OV hit. Were the Weber/Charot cross checks or Tkachuk’s jump on Campbell counted as hits ? These were missed calls that happen all the time and the Leafs seem to be on the receiving end most of the time.
