Anderson is not a huge loss.
He's only now playing his first game.
A 4th liner. Can be replaced.
Andersen going down though would be major problems.
Imagine if someone puts a knee on his head and breaks his neck.

Marner game winner with a GOAL!!!!!
Oh, he had an assist also which we all know by now don't count.
Is it time for someone to pick back up the golden mic that must have slipped out of his hands when he tripped ... on his own words
Good on Muzzin. That's how you payback. Win the game and piss him off.
Leafs are the only team in the league with 6 wins.

It’s encouraging to see the defence has tightened up a bit and they not giving up too many odd men rushes like they did before. Holl has improved a lot and he can now play in the second pairing.

On the Calgary side, did they get a memo from the league that they’re not supposed to rough up the Leafs or are the Leafs just too quick for them to hit ? I’m just surprised that they weren’t as physical as they should be in order to beat the Leafs.

the Leafs dominated.................for 1 period. They outshot Flames 10-1 in the first and then were down 22-16. Ouch.

Even though he only plays about 16 minutes, I think that they miss Thornton's big body and what he does along the boards and in the corners. Nylander can't do that kind of work all by himself.

Tkachuck gets punked and loses his mind. He's lucky the refs got in the way, Muzzin throws haymakers. How long will Campbell be out?

Campbell was selected 11th overall by the Dallas Stars. Normally it's folly trading away a first round goalie, they got Nick Ebert from the Kings for him.

To me it looked like he pulled his groin which is always bad for goalies. He could be out anywhere from a couple weeks to a month, or more. Problem is, even when you think it's healed, it's easy to tweak it again doing the splits.

No one's denying he's a player. Who says anyone needs to fight him. I would say winning the game and pissing him off hurts him more than a punch in the face. I don't think Tkachuk will ever stop badgering Kassian.

Some people are unaware Flames have players like Gaudreau and Monahan as well. It's not a team full of Lucics.

At the moment, the Leafs are the #1 team in the NHL while Calgary isn't even in a playoff spot...Tkachuk will be more worried about wins than fights.

Indeed.
I've heard the term 'high event hockey' used to describe Toronto Maple Leafs games.

There are a few members in this forum who seem to believe the Maple Leafs are undersized, get bounced around by bigger, heavier players/teams.

Interestingly, there's an article in The Athletic today that looks in detail at each NHL team's average height, weight, age.

Heaviest:
Golden Knights 207.2lb
Blackhawks 190.7lb
Maple Leafs 201.5lb 9th heaviest

Tallest:
Golden Knights 74.1"
Predators 72.4"
Maple Leafs 73.4" 8th tallest

Average Age:
Capitals 29.3
Rangers 25.6
Maple Leafs 28.3~6th oldest

Does one of them hold a golden mic?

Leafs could have used Spezza last game. Hyman looked like he lost every face off on the PK.
Face off wins losses for this season:
Tavares 75 46
Matthews 73 57
Spezza 40 21
Kerfoot 33 33
Hyman 4 9
I was watching the faceoffs and thinking, why aren't they better tonight? Oh right, Spezza wasn't in the lineup.
