Feel free to give it whatever moniker you like. There is no trade mark on that moniker. Should we now call it the "Tampa System" even though the Habs predated the Lightning by decades?

I use it because I have been told that is the system used by the Canadiens since at least the 1950's (a couple of decades before my time). So, win or lose that has been the system ever since I been following the Habs.

BTW: The current version of the Leafs is built bass ackwards (i.e. forwards first, then defense and then goalie).
Actually before Montreal won 5 cups in a row from 56-60 the Leafs won 5 cups in the 40s, followed by Detroit winning 4 in the first half of the 50s...so maybe Montreal copied their system?

Are the Leafs and Wings still using the same system(s) to-day? The Leaf system to-day is bass ackward.

BTW: I went to the hockey HOF to-day to pay my respects to Lord Stanley and it was still closed.

On the slopes of Mount Parnassus, Greece
The Habs live to fight another day!.........

Although they got out chanced and out played Les Habs still gave it their best effort.

This team has a lot of heart I have to give em that...........

The lightning are just a complete team though. It becomes more evident every time I see them play.

I think most of Hab fans who aren't from Montreal or Quebec are more about bashing the Leafs than actually
celebrating the Habs...honestly.
I mean, the Habs are in the finals, defying all the odds, and it's still about taking pot shots at the Leafs.
It's so fucking boring and lame and most of all, small minded.

Great win tonight.

Still to many turnovers but survived it tonight.
Overall seems like those that have played key defensive roles in the playoffs (the big 4 d, Danault, price) have been less sharp and making key turnovers… more so in prior games. Probably as much mental fatigue as physical… and the quality of stamps of course. Guys like Chiarot and Edmondson are being extended more than normal. It’s a tough ask.

Hopefully this win gives them a lift that will allow them to play sharper for the next few games.

The best thing about OT is winning almost every one. The second best thing is that they are short, giving Price and the "Big 4" a bit of a break.

I suppose the refs had no choice but to assess a 4 minute penalty against Weber.

BTW: Heard Elliot Friedman say that the voters for the Conn Smythe must cast their ballot no later than 10 minutes prior to the end of the game.

Trying to stay in a Happy Place
Tampa dominated most of the game and 4 goal posts were struck by Lightening !!!
But Hab's now 4-0 in OT these playoffs.

I am happy it was not a sweep - but I really don't see a 1942 Toronto Maple Leaf like come back in the Hab's future.
It would be great to have one more game in Montreal but Tampa has a perfect 14 - 0 record over the past two playoff seasons in games after losses.

But streaks like that do come to an end sometime -so why not on Wednesday night?
(Although it would be nice if the Hab's could learn how to not turn over the puck so many f***ing times in their own end)

To be fair, we should give some credit to the Lightning for some/many of those turnovers. They ain't Stanley Cup champs because of their good looks (LOL). They have an amazing transition game.

In the OT, Danault and Anderson showed that Montreal has enough speed to beat Lightning defenders.

BTW: I doubt any serious and intelligent hockey students/observers/fans would belittled what the Habs have achieved, even if they don't win the Cup.

Are referring to the fat broad?
I worked with a fat chick. I would never refer to her as the fat chick. I always called her zit face. It's important to be sensitive like that in times like these.

I would love to see the reaction of the Tampa Bay mayor if Tampa does not close this tonight.

Odds are it will not happen, but they have to play the game.
