There was a segment with babcock a fews years ago and he admitted carter did not want to leave but he pulled the plug anyway
There is a reason this guy has never got a full ttime gig ..

We boo Vince but Rob and Richard Peddle were doing a lot of shit behind the scenes

Sullinger tends to let his weight creep up. A one year contract means he has this year to address the issue and play his best for next years re-up on his contract. ONce again we won't have Bird rights on Sullinger either.
That's what I like - only a one year deal so hopefully's he'll act like he has something to prove. Fitness issues, injury issues, not a great rebounder, reportedly soft.

yeah the 1 year deal works for me too, wish they had a team option with it, just in case he becomes a Biyombo clone!

I think what the raps need after scola is not with us anymore is a veteran guy who can be vocal and calm things down.

Yup and they will have to trade for it as the cap is pretty much gone. I agree though a veteran that can give you a few quality minutes each night and set an example for all the youngsters on this team. Tell them and show them what it takes to be a winner

Currently Lowery is the leader. Not sure who else can step up, Carroll, DeRozan, Joseph?

Ricky was a far bigger jerk. We gladly brought him to the jays!
assume you are talking Henderson. (you realize we are dating ourselves!? LOL) Henderson was brought in as a get me a ring player. Whoever the Raps bring in (assuming they do) will be a veteran that will play, teach lead, and be a calming influence. A ring would be a shock as well as a bonus, as at the moment I don't think the Raps are close.

Yeah I don't see a superstar coming to TO. We need to get lucky with a draft pick one year. I'm happy if we continue to make it deep into conference playoffs for a few years.

It is not T.O that is the issue ... Superstars now team up to make super teams ... 5 years ago Golden State wasn't a sexy destination but now Kevin Durant wants to go there ..

Good deal for Sullinger! A guy who averages double double at the PF position. Exactly what the raptors need.

Vince is not a leader.

By the way did anyone see Pop's interview regarding Tim Duncan's retirement? It was chock full of his dry sarcastic humour.

But the thing that stuck out the most was he said that Tim was not the type to dunk and pound his chest as if he was the first person to ever dunk.

I agree I could use a little less of that.

I hate the guys on the bench who hoot and holler and jostle each other like a bunch of children..... but if that's what I gotta do to get the league minimum sign me up!
