Raptors summer league team is looking good from a development view. SOlid win against Kings and next game is tomorrow night. With 5 picks starting they have more to show as the week progresses..
88-47 is more than looking good. Thought maybe the Kings played their back ups, nope, for the most part the draftee jut like the Raps. If the Kings are going to rebuild I wonder what it would take to pry Cousins from them. My concerns if the Raps were to get him is how would it affect the chemistry of the team and what they would have to give up for him.

BTW!, Go Canada Go..! :canada::canada::canada::cheer2:

French can be beat if boys continue playing defence and getting their free throws to drop.....
Oh yes Go Canada Go.. Too Wiggins and Nik thanks for nothing ... Staying home instead of redeeming last year's lost

....more damn.....Parker and crew too experienced for this group.....great Canadian effort though including Ejim and the Scrubb brothers .... With new qualifying processes in the future, getting away From summer tournaments, it will mean we will never have our best 12 available without major commitments to country from pro teams and players ... :canada::bump2:

JJ must have worn out his welcome here as he was always a fav of Casey's. Still thought they'd bring him back.

Stormin' Norm is ripping up summer league again this year. Squeaker last night but Wright and Norm led squad in tight fourth. If Norm was only 3-4 inches taller he'd be unworldly!

Nice to see James Johnson get a contract next year .. 4 million not bad pocket change
found him frustrating loads of talent but something just not there. wish he had gone west as you never know when he will actually come to play, and as such kick your ass!

always loved James Johnson. He doesn't have too many years left to hit his peak. He's 29 now and will be 30 in February. Usually great players excel on their athleticism and energy in the early years, then rely on their smarts to keep playing into their 30s. I'm a little worried he's losing some athleticism and he's definitely getting big now. He'll be a step slower next year.

I was counting on JJ to be a back up at least next year. I hope Masai has some tricks up his sleeve.

I do think our rookies are looking pretty good. It must be torture thinking about letting one or more go with every trade scenario going past Masai. The new kid looks pretty good too, but way too early to know for sure. He seems much further ahead than Valunciunas was in his first year.

Raps sign PF .. Celtic Jared Sullinger ... For 26 million ..

Just kidding 6 million
6 million seems like a bargain when you see what some guys are getting.IMO Not a bad signing but far from solving the PF situation. Celtics still have too many bodies, so a few more live ones should be available. Would love to see them come up with a kick ass guy, and I believe that has to be via trade as it still looks like the American players prefer to play in the U.S.

In today's NBA where stupid contracts are being given away daily ... This guy only got 6 million ... He must have flaws but like Biz maybe he can over achieve as a Raptor ... He is a younger solution then Scola who broke down by the time the playoffs came around ..

Maybe what Celtics did to him was a wake up call for this guy ... I wonder if Raps didn't sign Ross how many teams would be giving him 11 million

Yes Scola replacement ..
I don't see him replacing anyone. Unless Masai finds another PF Sullinger should start with Patterson off the bench. Scola brought experience and smarts, Sullinger much younger and maybe a better fit. Scola's body seemed to let him down as the season progressed, that should not happen with Sullinger. I still believe the PF is the Raps weakest position and hope Masai is still shopping.

Sullinger tends to let his weight creep up. A one year contract means he has this year to address the issue and play his best for next years re-up on his contract. ONce again we won't have Bird rights on Sullinger either.
