Well, fellow TERB brethren, I’m still on the right side of the lawn. Surgery went well according to the doctors. Pain is manageable after I had them increase the dosage from the wonderful magic button. Thanks for all the kind words. Who knows, maybe I’ll be back to hobbying again some day.

I know someone who had mouth cancer, he was a smoker of cigars for over 40 years. It was quite brutal he had to have a few surgeries. Lost his sense of taste. Partial paralysis of his face. My condolences to you bemeup. Not sure I would want to go through all that in order to live a year or two more.

The good news tonight is that my nurse Irena is a total smoke show. If only I was 40 years younger, a few million richer, and much better looking. I probably still wouldn’t have a chance.
Just remember you have a voice here. Don't hesitate to make this oasis a part if your social circle and recovery. Its a good place to rant and be judgement free.

Absolutely agree. This is sort of a brotherhood here.

I'm thrilled bemeup, at least one of us is getting a good blowing. Myself, the nurse is coming over to shove a catheter up my prickhead. They gave me a pant bag when I left the hospital, I'll be wearing it on August 9th. I haven't seen Rush this Century, the best I can do is blow kisses in Anika's general direction.

That’s great news to hear that you’re still around. There is truth to the saying live your life like it’s the last day, it sounds weird but it is true. I also have the mistress of cancer bestowed upon me, I question myself why did I get it I paid my taxes I lift a good life no harm to others but one day woke up and found out cancer. Remember to have a good support group around you, for me it’s just my dog. If you find yourself travelling down a dark hole get help, there were times I thought of taking the easy way out, it’s not worth it. I find humor be at normal or be at sick often helps. Good luck God bless.

I’m still in the hospital. I have a tracheotomy hole that I suction my saliva/phlegm from, and a feeding tube into my stomach that is used to feed me and administer medications. Hard to sleep, constant dry mouth, when I’m.not coughing up stuff out of the cannula in my trachea hole. Don’t know if this will ever improve, so mulling over assisted suicide. My wonderful sister has flown from west coast to help me, it I don’t want to burden her, she is older than me. Many dark thoughts as I lie awake in bed and write this. Remember to check out any weird things in your mouth or wherever on your body. Believe me, you don’t want to end up like this.
