Which, for the most part, are on products they have to buy. They have to buy our oil, electricity, potash, and with have to, until production capability increases buy most of the rest.

So all it is is a sales tax, passed to Americans.

So... what is your solution?
reverse the disastrous liberal policies of the past 10 years

Become the 51st state and lose our pensions and healthcare?
gee we had pensions , sovereignty and health care prior to 2015
we signed a free trade deal with the US in 1987 , only it was not truly free trade
lets eliminate all tariffs and watch our economies expand

fyi , universal health care in Canada is not sustainable in the long run completely independent of the US
demographics, utilization rate, health care inflation and a bloated bureaucracy will ensure non-sustainability

He probably wouldn't even let us vote because we'd mostly vote Democrat? But at least we'd have lots of guns! YEEHAW!
that is the blithering's of a fool

Same old, you don't read the news and keep arguing for a return to 1980.

whoops is right
you failed to comprehend once again

the discussion was not just ''about Carney dropping Canadian tariffs on americans.''
Pierre Poilievre wanted to call Trumps bluff
get rid of all tariffs / trade restrictions between Canada and the US
including softwood lumber , steel, aluminum , dairy etc.
you really are not very bright

I disagree Johnny Boy, you look like a fool for being uptight and humourless.

of course you disagree, you are an ideologue who can not carry your end of a serious discussion
each and every time you verve off into a strange world of your insider jokes

fyi i have a great sense of humour
this funny because it so true

Carney has in fact , moved to the right and even Danielle Smith is on board right now, but of course , LaRue, the original blathering fool still clings to his partisan, rigid position even though the world around him changes daily.

And who is the one forcing Carney right?

Most importantly what has Carney even done that can be considered moving to the right? Right now it's all talk.

That's so myopic. 194 nations. We are 18th. So what? You are about to find out over the next few years that the USA isn't going to be as important as it was.
Wow, that’s a data driven argument.

Lol. The USA is now fudging it's data as well as the CPP. So trying to have a data driven argument is more difficult than you think.

More importantly though considering recent events, I'd say the unraveling of the USA is continuing. And data can't account for that, only report the carnage after.
