Several hundred thousand Russian and Ukrainian casualties might argue with how your describing appeasement.
x2 for Russian troops but Putin doesn't give a shit about that. Especially if some are N. Koren fodder
4 more years, sweetheart :D
As a kid, I enjoyed going to the circus so now it's 4 years of the funniest, most idiotic 3 ring travelling circus ever seen before so no worries about me honeybun. 🍻

Proof you are suffering from full blown dementia ( hopefully you have a few good years left to see King Donnie rule the world).
Go through your posts, read them, then ask yourself, am I ok? ;)

Zelensky knew the conditions and demands Trump had set beforehand.
So if he knew all that, then why did he fly all the way over to America just to say no to the deal??

Also, I just watched the entire debate this morning and Zelensky comes across as very abrasive.
Thats not the way to do diplomacy
This is Trump we are talking about. He changed all conditions and wanted Zelensky to crack under pressure. Trump and team never expected Zelensky to hold on like that in front of everyone and all camera.

Now that these rare earth earth minerals are in great demand, it seems like they are turning up in a lot of places. I'm just curious.
Trump calls them "raw earth minerals" So that must be their true name.

What kind of guarantees do you suppose Zelensky wants?

Something like Nato's article 5?

And what would happen if Russian or Ukrainians resume fighting after a ceasefire? It was clear as day during yesterday's conference Zelensky hates everything to do with Russia and so does a significant amount of Ukrainians.

WW3?

Zelensky is only asking for a simply worded agreement from Russia that troops will be withdrawn from Ukrainian territory, and that there will be no further military aggression. Should Russia violate this agreement there would be horrendous sanctions on Russia from the countries of the world.

Why is that a relevant question?
If you're noting the collapse of Russia in 1917 during the World War, what happened to the Ukraine in the aftermath would seem completely relevant.

In 1919-1920, the Bolsheviks regrouped the Russian military and sent forces into the Ukraine to "liberate" the people. You can have the opinion that the Ukrainians won't stand for that now. But what if a new Russian regime is even more ruthless and unrestrained than Putin.

These are all just historical references. One can certainly have the opinion that the war should continue because there's a chance that Putin's Russia will collapse. It seems like a gamble.

why do you think Putin attack Ukraine?

Putin attacked because he had not expected the magnitude
of support in terms of military and economic aid Ukraine was
going to recieve from NATO members. I for one found the amount
of taxpayers' money Trudeau has been happy to give away to
Ukraine shocking.

Putin has been keeping up with attacking Ukraine because it turns
out that Ukraine's supporters including NATO-Europe plus Canada
and the U.S. only intended to provide just sufficient support for the
war to drag on at the expense of Ukrainian lives not to defeat Russia.
Putin might have decided pressing on is the way to sow division among
NATO members as well as to destablizie Ukraine.

So you would have a hypothetical where Putin was replaced - not by another kleptocrat, which is by far the likeliest outcome - but by some kind of super nationalist populist who was able to motivate the Russian people to mass mobilize into a huge, efficient army and then somehow equip it with weapons from...... where exactly?

And that super populist then invades Ukraine in a far more efficient and successful way.

Okay. And sometime in 2027, a super intelligent monkey might start a monkey empire and take over the world. About as likely, right?

Yes, NATO's article 5 would be the perfect deterrent.
Zelensky hating everything to do with Russia, is 100% justified.
Can you expect any Ukrainian with an ounce of self esteem to feel anything remotely positive for Russia?
He also does not trust them at all. Again justified.
So yes, he'd want guarantees that Russia is never, ever able to repeat this again.
So stopping the war, is not possible without security guarantees.
Zelensky isn't just going to hand a "win" to Trump (and Putin), sign away his natural resources, agree to losing his land, and leave open the possibility that Russia could attack them in the future at any time.
Anyone who thinks this is "reasonable negotiation" or remotely a "deal" needs to be institutionalized for lack of critical thinking.

Mental gymnastics to turn it around and blame Zelensky for something Vance and Trump started.
Its the MAGA playbook.
Trump does something.
His fanbois run around trying to intellectualize it and make it more palatable.
Saagar is not a Trump fanboy. He isn't MAGA. He isn't even really a hardline conservative.

I personally find he adds a dose of practical conservatism on the Breaking Points podcast/YouTube channel. If you are not familiar, most of the time he sits across from a liberal commentator who is almost universally opposed to Trump.
