I had a discussion somewhere else and we were saying the MAGA crowd has a lot of guns and ammo.

If things get too uneasy, it could get real ugly.

But you cannot just move operations into the US overnight. That takes time.
I read somewhere it takes minimum 2 years to move one factory over to another location, and make it operationally.
In the meantime the US could fall into a recession

Here's some reading for you squeeze.

This is straight from the UAW website. The same UAW that endorsed Harris, Biden, Clinton and Obama for President.

The UAW supports aggressive tariff action to protect American manufacturing jobs as a good first step to undoing decades of anti-worker trade policy. We do not support using factory workers as pawns in a fight over immigration or drug policy. We are willing to support the Trump Administration’s use of tariffs to stop plant closures and curb the power of corporations that pit US workers against workers in other countries. But so far, Trump’s anti-worker policy at home, including dissolving collective bargaining agreements and gutting the National Labor Relations Board, leaves American workers facing worsening wages and working conditions even while the administration takes aggressive tariff action.

If Trump is serious about bringing back good blue-collar jobs destroyed by NAFTA, the USMCA, and the WTO, he should go a step further and immediately seek to renegotiate our broken trade deals. The national emergency we face is not about drugs or immigration, but about a working class that has fallen behind for generations while corporate America exploits workers abroad and consumers at home for massive Wall Street paydays. We need to stop plant closures, bring back American jobs, and stop the global race to the bottom immediately. Any tariff action must be followed with a renegotiation of the USMCA, and a full review of the corporate trade regime that has devastated the American and global working class.

As I was saying, tariffs don't fit conveniently into the left/right dichotomy. You can still hate Trump. You can still disagree with his treatment of Canada. However, I wouldn't try to label tariff policy with a broad political brush.
A union representing manufacturing blue-collar American workers, WHAT DO YOU EXPECT THEM TO SAY at the thought of manufacturing coming back? Come on Wyatt, what does this have to do with Democratic governments? Talk about a deflection. It is amazing how you pretzel your thoughts to defend your cult felon Prez.

Tariffs in this era defy a convenient left/right dichotomy.
The traditional parties of the left were more aligned with working class interests.
The Democratic party of the not so distant past favored tariffs.

First off, please becareful with the name calling. I would want you to have to rebrand like Jimi did.

Trump is the ultimate 3 ring circus and you should move there and join it. Apply for your green card, we do not need folks who side with felon leaders who want to destroy Canada.

I will say it again, I've never been better. I did fantastic under Harper, I grew more assets under Justin and I will grow again under whatever goverment we get next because unlike you, I don't cry like a baby and make up nonsense and bullshit on a daily basis. I live in reality and adapt accordingly.
See, the problem with you is you are whining about the 25% tariffs..and thinking this is gonna be Trumps downfall...but never have I heard you whine about the wasteful spending of Biden administration...us and Canada mirror each other...there are also wasteful spending here and haven't heard you complain...is it because you are "well off"? But shouldn't you whine for the unfortunate?

he has 4 years
if he captured 25 to 50% of the Canadian / Mexican auto industries + parts made in China over 4 years he would call that a victory

In the meantime the US could fall into a recession
yes it could
inflation could also be a huge problem for him
it is a problem for any sitting politician in a democracy

Reading is your friend!

Conservatives and Republicans want to cut programs for the less fortunate to give it to folks well off in the way of tax cuts. Now tell us who the selfish POS is, go ahead.

US government spending has not slowed under Trump so far, data shows

In other news, Team Canada will impose 25% taxes on Canadians on March 5. Just one month before the federal govt raises the Carbon tax they promised would be capped another 20%.

bring on 51st statehood!
Do you expect them to do nothing and thank Trump for the 25% tariffs?
