Everyone would like the war to end. The difference is that some people want a just end, where the invaded democratic country defends it's sovereignty and pushes out the aggressor, while other people (a minority), are OK with the invading communist country successfully seizing new territory.
you should read some of @nottyboi posts on this topic

you might learn something

Ukraine with Zelebsky in charge has become hopelessly
dependent on foreign aid. The result is much of the land
resources of Ukraine will to some degree also belong to foreign
creditors after the war.
That's debatable, but does that mean that Russia will give land to the foreign creditors?

Next...?

tDS at work.

A core symptom is the inability to think independently.
Repeat whatever trump tells you.

Out of curiosity, before trump's declaration of a dictatorship yesterday, how many times have you accused Zelensky of being a dictator?

I'd love to see those posts.

Once again, you can thank RasPutin.
More correctly, thank NATO and the U.S. for not giving the
money Zelensky needed to hold an election.

In case you missed it read post 176 for the linked news report
that begiins with:

Zelensky Appeals to West for Funding War-Time Elections

Naaaah. I'm sticking with RasPutin. His tanks. His orders.
You realize that Zelensky was appealing to the west not
Putin for funding of war-time election? Seems fair to thank/blame
both sides if not either of them alone for Zelensky's refusal
to hold an election.

An election or lack thereof still leaves:

RasPutins tanks, RasPutins orders.

His intentions were not contingent on Ukraine elections.

Can anyone explain why the US has to contribute as much as it has to? This would be like if Mexico got invaded by Brazil, and let’s just throw in Cuba for communist sake. Would it make sense for Europe to contribute as much of even more than Ameeica to fight this war.

So, as a percentage of GDP, The UK, Canada, Denmark, The Netherlands, and Sweden are contributing more to Ukraine than the IS is.

Your number is bigger because your economy is bigger, but as a % of GDP, it is 0.6%. As in, if you had $100, you would be contributing 6 tenths of 1 penny to Ukraine.

Second, let's play this out: Give Ukraine to Russia. Do you think they'll stop there? At what point does the US population get mad enough that they have to go stop the Russian takeover of Europe? The german, UK, Irish and Italian diasporas are more than 30 million people each. Polish diaspora is 16 million. Trump won't be president forever. 150 million people voting to liberate Europe means you're getting involved at some point. You can do it now at one point, or you can do it later, Normandy style.

Third: If Russia and the US start grabbing land, do you think China wont? So, where's our red line with China? When does the US engage with them? Now you're fighting a 2-front war. How did the Schlieffen Plan work out?

Fourth: Do you trust Russia? Putin either controls trump, or figures he's too stupid to take seriously. Trump and Putin hand shake over Alaska, and Putin goes back on his word. What then? Does the US roll over and let Russia have Alaska back, then parts of Canada, or are you now in direct conflict?

So, for 6 tenths of 1 penny, or even a whole penny out of your $100 budget, you continue the 80 years of global stability that has come out of WWII, Nato alliances and UN action.

OR, you blow up the whole world. Do you think your economy gets better in wartime? The US doesn't have the resources or factories to sustain its economy internally. Your quality of life is dependent on stable global trade.

Do you think your national debt goes down? Have you ever heard of Rationing and Victory Gardens? As you've stated, US Americans don't have the stones to live through wartime anymore. You pay pennies to Ukraine to avoid another global conflict and ultimately the rest of your life, and the entirety of your children's lives, being much worse than your life until now.
