Any animosity to US visitors?
There is animosity but I'd say that it's more sympathy than animosity. You're the ones that have to live there.

It’s funny, when I backpacked through Europe when Bush Jrs war was going on, I had to say I was from Canada since everyone was pissed at America. Now in Canada I might have to say I’m from one of those Nordic countries with a neutral accent.
Whose fault is that?

Rush had his moments of clarity....
You see in downtown wards leftie virtue signallers with signs on their lawns that say something like we stand with or support our neighbours in tents. Something along those lines. You never see a homeless person in tent on their property.
Simbolism over substance.

''Providing a land acknowledgement at the beginning of an event or meeting gives time for reflection and demonstrates recognition of Indigenous lands, treaties and peoples.''
Fine. But not each time you are introduced to somebody.

Do you wish people Merry Christmas in July?

Sometimes it seems you like to be contrarian with someone from the left for no other reason than that. Shaq's anecdote had nothing worthy of being contrarian about.

Yeah, ...................and I say tariff them 25% if they come up here to get Canadian puzzy. Oh, and their American money is accepted at par.

This whole DEI mission is so problematic...Hire whoever you want and shut up about it.

It's the virtue signalling that is nauseating.
MAGA is still worried that they can't compete evenly wth minorities.
Canning DEI is bad for business, it means more unqualified workers.

Trump doesn't want to destroy Canada

in fact I heard that he will offer every Canadian $500 000.00 US as a buy in

if we join US
CBC notes that trump is using the same language and reasoning to take over Canada that Putin used for invading Ukraine.

trump argues that Canadians want it and it will make us money the same way Putin said Ukrainians want to join Russia and it will make them rich.

Now that I know the TERB sentiment from this thread, how’s the actual sentiment up there in Canada?

Any animosity to US visitors? It’s funny, when I backpacked through Europe when Bush Jrs war was going on, I had to say I was from Canada since everyone was pissed at America. Now in Canada I might have to say I’m from one of those Nordic countries with a neutral accent.
There is serious animosity against the govt of the USA and anyone who voted for it. To expect otherwise is naive. That being said we won't be rounding you up. But spout off, claim you are here to look at your new "state" in the wrong place and I wouldn't want to be you.

You don't want to mistake our patience for passiveness.

I believe everyone’s allegiance should be to the best interests of their country. I would not expect anything less of Canada.

I support Trump and most of his policies but
I don’t agree with Trump ridiculing Canada and saying it should be 51st state or the tariffs he is implementing. Canada should fight back against this.

There's always someone in search of stupidity (see seanzo). There's been an uptick in enlistment to the Canadian Military. It would break my heart if young Canadians die defending their country. The USA hasn't won a war since WW II...ops Grenada, I forgot. If Yanks can't conquer Afghanistan, how will they do against a country 8 times the size? Not only that but Canadian Forces had to bail out the Yanks in North Korea and Somalia. So let The Orange Bag of Pus bloviate.

Remember two Canadian catchphrases: I'm sorry, you'll be sorry.

I don't think there is a requirement to host a homeless person on your property in order to show support.

only TDS sufferers have this anti- American sentiment

most sane people have nothing against our American brothers and wish them all the best
!3% of Canadians polled have a favourable opinion of Trump, 27% of those polled view the U.S. as an "enemy state:"
