Now it looks more likely leaders of NATO-Europe members are the ones who
will have a hard time sleeping well after a peace deal is signed. Those fools
will have to pay the price of squandering billions of borrowed money to get
Ukrainians (and Russians) killed in a stupid proxy war.
Yes they should have just let Putin take it all. I guess you are fine with Trumputin coming in and taking Canada.

Don't blame people who decided they couldn't vote for genocide for trump getting in.
Blame the party that put a genocidal candidate on the ballot despite 80% of dems being for a ceasefire and peace.

'Arab buddies'? You think genocide is only an issue for one race?

The majority protesting and staying home for the vote were Arabs/Muslims yes! The majority of Dems and Lefts stand by Israel and not Hamas.

They were already getting blown up and Ukraine was massing for a full scale attack on Donbas. This is why Putin attacked when he did. Notice how many Ukrainian troops and heavy weapons were in the Donbas. If Putin had just stood there, there would have been a slaughter and a massive influx of refugees. As it stands over 3m Ukrainian refugees are in Russia. and there were 3.5M left in Donbas. If the Mexicans attacked a town full of Americans in Mexico, what do you think would happen? 🤷‍♂️👍
Man, you are delusional and not worth discussing when you throw out nonsense and made up bullshit.

Things are already vastly different. The U.S. and NATO assisted the Ukraine in resisting the Russian invasion. The Russia military on the ground is not as dangerous as Nazi Germany was relative to 1938.
I believe that Russia is not nearly as strong as people believe. If Russia was that strong, they would have defeated Ukraine in short order at the start of the war. But the fact is, they were unable to. The Russian economy combined with Russian corruption precludes it from having a powerful military. In short, Russia is bluffing and they are closer to losing this war than they would like the world to believe.

If Ukraine was smart, they wait for the peace talks to start and then launch an all out counter attack against the Russians. The best defense is a strong offense.

Russia may not be as strong as what people think but they could be fighting this war for 20 more years what would that do to Ukraine ...Ukraine be best to negotiate a peace deal

So very wrong.

Russia winning was a foregone conclusion because Russia is one of the world's few nuclear superpowers and Ukraine is just another Eastern European, agriculture dependent, non-nuclear and non-NATO poor country. A war with such a foregone conclusion should have been over in a few weeks and here we are, still going after 2 1/2 years. Ukraine exposed how weak Russia really is and embarrassed them completely.

But yes, now we can see that Russia will win and that's because of the lack of intellect of the American electorate.

BTW, it is indisputable that Russia started the war.
You prob think the war started in Feb 2022. thats what your statement is so clueless. 😀😉

I have no idea what you're indicating with your last statement.

First, it's possible you're conceding that the U.S. is bankrolling the Ukrainian effort.
Second, perhaps you think the U.S. should be providing better weapons. If you don't consider a wider conflict, it's easy to tempt an escalation.

The Ukrainians had their shot to try to push the Russians out of the Ukraine. That now looks like it will never happen. If it is still possible, that looks like it will take a long time to materialize with lots of risks for the participants and NATO countries.
Do you support trump?
Do you consider yourself of high intellect?

Urkaine had been armed by NATO for years before the war started, it had a very large army and a significant cache of weapons from the Soviet era. There was also a steady stream of billions of $ worth of weapons pouring into Ukraine from NATO. as well as a great deal of Intel and Sat recon and targeting assistance. On the flipside NATO lost an article 5 war against the Taliban with them receiving no external state level support. NADA. Russia was even assisting NATO and they LOST. 👍👌

Having weapons does not equal starting a war.

Russia invaded Ukraine.

Russia invaded Ukraine.
I was not offering that as a reason for starting a war, I was offering that as reason why the war went on so long. The war started before the invasion.

A lot of bitching and moaning about Trump on this thread. Of course, hardly anyone is offering any realistic thoughts on what should happen.

The war is a grinding stalemate. The Ukraine is a mess and has suffered incredible losses of human life.
Biden or whoever was pulling the strings in the Administration should have ended this conflict awhile ago.
So just out of curiosity, are you in favor of "The US and Russia negotiate a peace and then tell Ukraine what to do"?

Ukraine might not have much of a choice, because if Trump decides to withhold funding from them the war will be over pretty quick

How cavalier armchair quarterbacks can be when discussing war abroad. Just keep fighting and broker a peace deal later, they say.

Some of you literally have to experience Hell to get any sense of it.

If you're going to fight a war on the ground, you need men to fight it. When you run out of bodies to send to certain death, a change of course has to happen.

War is not a video game or TERB political talk.

Regardless of the costs incurred, wars don't always produce satisfactory outcomes for the participants. For all the men and material the Russians have expended, this is not the result they sought.
It's been a disaster from the point of view of their objectives in starting the war.
That said, any setback due to that has probably been overwhelmed by the benefits of getting Trump back into power.
