Well I'm discussing the topic with you...Trump is spewing out ideas (some are overboard like Canada should be 51st state...i don't support that) but let me hear from the liberals about Gaza.... Was it a bad idea to offer help rebuild Gaza, relocate Palestinians temporarily (he did say that) It's currently unlive-able.... SAudi & Egypt are showing defiance...IMO, Trump might force to just abandon the idea and let the Middle East deal with the situation... If you look at the current situation...IMO Trump is throwing them a rope... Gaza is close to losing more funding if they show resistance...
Trump is simply doing what the Israelis cannot due to a lack of testicular fortitude. Make no mistake, the minute Palestinians leave they will never be allowed to return. Their expulsion has been the end goal since Zionism was born in the late 19th century and it's still their goal today all these years later. Also, don't be surprised when Trump tries to force Palestinian refugees upon us. I expect that will be demanded in the upcoming summit on Canada/US relations

I have mixed feelings. His comments that all 2,000,000 Palestinians must leave is quite extreme. I think that the fact that his spokespeople are walking it back today is corroboration of that.
Aside from that, I have no objection at all with the US restoring, rejuvenating and improving the area. But I think it's easier said than done.
1)How can he force other countries to take in the Palis if they don't want to. I'm not saying that it's impossible but they are sovereign states entitled to run their countries the way they want. Do you have a viable proposal as how to achieve this?
2)What about hamas if they don't comply? If this is the US' plan and they are going to carry it out, my belief is that it will be incumbent on trump to remove them, one way or another. Israel is too vulnerable from a public relations/world view aspect.

USAID has been a bilateral agreement with both Democrats and Republicans that supported it over the years. Having an unelected billionaire to dismantle it and thus releasing private data from the US citizens is unprecedented and stinks of corruption as it is now designed to divert the funds for huge tax cuts to mainly the elitist and crumbs to the middle and low income workers.
But also slashing their benefits will cause a lot more difficulties for them to get by.
Trump just thinks of his own ego and pulled this one out of his nostrils regarding Gaza and forcing the residents out of there. He wants to pander to the far right in Israel that in the end want to occupy Gaza like they have illegally done so in parts of the West Bank. Trump himself wants a stake in this deal, as he does not care an iota about The Palestinians. He is also a hypocrite in the manner that he wants Egypt, Saudi Arabia and Jordan to be forced to absorb the Palestinians against their will, while at the same time he wants to deport migrants who have been residing in the USA for several years while contributing to the economy!!
