I believe in freedom of the press and free speech. However, it's not anyone's fault that CNN's ratings are so bad......LMAO The liberal media seems to be dying off, thanks to Trump's recent victory!!
So, trump should not have intimidated CNN.
Obviously CNN liked Acosta's work since they gave him a good time slot. The only thing that changed was trump's election and his great dislike for Acosta. It had nothing to do with ratings.

TBH, I am not privy to that information. But it is definitely quite possible if not probable. Even if indirectly.
People and businesses are afraid. Bezos and Zuckerberg are now bootlickers. People are afraid to be on his bad side.
